Just wondering didn't the first post for ESL say this ?
3rd place will take home a nice $150 and the 2nd place team an impressive $600. Not to be outdone, the champions of each Monthly Final Go4Crossfire will drop jaws as they walk away with a staggering payday of $1000! -
The prize pool was originally listed as 1750 but I believe the math was done wrong for the given budget.
Technically the prize pool for each month is 1750: Because each weekly has 250 in prizes and the monthly has 1,000. However the original listing I believe was incorrectly typed putting the entirely monthly budget as the monthly final prize, which is not the case.
Monthly Finals prize pool will be 600 / 250 / 150
Weekly will be 150 / 100
This will be the prize pool for NESL events at this time. I am not sure who posted the original prize pool, but I can confirm these are the current prizes we have ready for the event. -
can you prove these seeds for 4th place were randomized and not hand-picked by you?
Yes, They were picked by the admin above slaya and I in NESL since he knew I was in Undaunted from the start and I told him in any situation I could be biased (such as seeding ties) Luke or him should make the call. If you would like I could have him post along with slaya confirming the seeds were randomly decided. -
The prize pool is being divided so badly, in my opinion. If ESL only has 1000 to work with and it is being divided into 3, I think it should be more rewarding for the winning team. Who ever comes out on top deserves more for being so consistent during the many hours played to get to and win the monthly cup.
With such a tiny prize pool I would suggest:
1st - 700
2nd - 200
3rd - 100 -

The prizes will stay the same, most events don't give second place less than a third of the money of first and I think 600 is fair given our budget. 1st will still get 100 more than 2 times 2nd place prize. -

Typically (Pretty much every event in every game) 2nd place doesn't get half or more than half of the 1st place prize unless the top 8 places are in the money. Just an observation, opinion and suggestion that makes more sense to me. Cheers! -

Well 250 to 600 still isnt half. I feel like undercutting a team that beat all but 1 team is silly, especially if the finals match is close. -

pretty sure it's just a monthly final
there's more cups for teams to get points to make it into the top 8 -

I know? These are the 8 teams that are in the monthly final. There's no more cups to get points to get into monthly final #1, at least that's what the thread suggests. -

Well today is the 29, which signals the end of the month. Every monthly cup is at the end of the month guys. So no there arent more opportunities, BUT since we now start a new month, i believe there can be up to 5 chances to make it into the monthly final. It all depends on how many weeks the month haves, i believe. -
While this monthly final only featured 2 cups worth of points, the next monthlys will have 3-5 cups worth of points each to determine the participants. So if you were close to making it in, or just didn't have time to participate, don't worry because you will have many opportunities to win over the months to come.
