Restart the whole ESL cup for tomorrow!

I think a nice solution would be to re-start the cup next weekend, with a new head admin (someone who leaves mid-event with no word should be immediately replaced). This gives them time to sort out the bugs, walk people through the AC more effectively, and to streamline the entire event. -

I do agree with replacing the admin. Why delay this one for next week when there will be another cup next week if we continue this one. -

I am looking to get it re-scheduled for next friday or saturday since teams had to FF matches and some teams couldn't compete do to time conflicts and ESG has more tomorrow.
I think round 1 results should stand, but they may not. We will see how things work out once chase is back (if he comes back) If not we will figure out how to adjust things in order for a smoother running event to happen. I wasn't able to admin this event well because Chase didn't give me my admin info before the event, I still don't have nor do I know where he went to.
We will be discussing more though the possibility of restarting the event or playing out rounds after 1 at a later date. I would say its unfair though to erase round 1 results because most were played with on a few misses due to time conflicts which I do apologize for.
I think easter is not a good option to continue, as we need time to fix the numerous troubleshooting issues we had with the AC the day of, and chase didn't even resolve some of them in time. So we need to look at the issues more to make sure their are easy fixes across the board and that admins can properly assist those with client issues. -

As I mentioned their are some issues that still need to be fixed and with the head admin nowhere to be found, we may not be able to have them fixed in time for tomorrow, because chase just dipped on us. On alternative would be having matches dispersed throughout the weeknights. We could finish this cup on friday or saturday and have another cup Sunday also. -

I would say matches dispersed throughout weeknights would be better so remaining ESG teams are still able to compete. even if their is only 2 left I think they deserve a chance to compete still. It wouldnt be possible to do all matches in 1 weeknight so we would have to spread it across 2-3 evenings. -

We don't need that idiot to run this cup. Slaya knows what he's doing, he can easily make a challong bracket and run it from there. -

The issues aren't only with chase being gone, Their are some troubleshooting issues with Moss / Wire that need to be addressed as well. I am sure a bracket consisting of 1-2 matches on weeknights, and then a new cup on the weekend would be pretty reasonable considering these circumstances. -

There is two esg teams left and both of them were able to play both ESL and ESG tonight. They will be fine. -
A poll vote won't do much. We are planning to give teams opportunities to play. However until a higher ESL admin than chase can get in contact with Slaya and I we cannot adjust the brackets so that teams are matched properly on the wire.
Right now chase has the only full admin authority for the event. So if you want to help, tell ESL higher ups to give Slaya and I the authority to admin the brackets so we can help the event happen. Until Chase's powers are given to other admins we can't fix what is needed for this to continue. -

We are in the process of making this happen as I am supporting slaya taking chases place for the the remainder of ESL events. Right now the plan is to get admin powers to adjust brackets in the following way:
- Teams that did both show up and play their scores would stand for round 1 if the match score was reported
- Teams that had 1 or none show up or did not report a score would have to play round 1 on the new scheduled time for the match which has not been decided yet
- Match Comms will hopefully be set up properly and teams will be able to see matches properly displayed on the wire
Right now we are looking at monday night for the entire rest of the event to be played out as an option, because it will take us some time to sort out the issue chase left us with and we currently don't have the resources that Slaya and I need to fix brackets so that teams can properly find opponents on the wire.
Sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused, but at this point in time this is the plan of action we are looking to pursue. -

We were told we'd be playing tomorrow, GO4 Cups are supposed to be played during the weekends. Postponing till next week is an OK idea but playing matches during week days is worse. If Chase doesn't show up and ZZXQ/Others want to choose other things over the Cup then it should be rescheduled to next Saturday starting where most people left off at Round 2. Then the following GO4 Cup could be the next day on Sunday. I personally would rather play the cup tomorrow or next saturday before the next cup but not on weekdays. What does everyone else think?
