please give me a list of brands that are remotely better than toyota when it comes to average consumer vehicles
american cars are by far the biggest pieces of junk, inconsistent quality, minor things fail within months, utility vehicles are good depending on which brand. (excludes tesla)
german cars are nice for the first 2-3 year but have many issues later on and lose resale value quickly and are expensive to maintain for no good reason
japanese cars, offer safety, reliability, consistent, competitive pricing, cutting edge tech
south korean, getting up there with the japanese in terms of quality, haven't been in the game as long as the americans but have already passed them
chinese, just entered the market recently, made in china, what else is there to say..
indian, only can think of tata motors who owns jaguar i believe, jag has been exchanged between hands last few years, but the direction they are headed is a lot better now
these are probably some of the larger players in the market (when looking at north america) -

To add to this, Tata also owns Land Rover...
