Windows 8 - Function Keys

In game I can't switch to Game chat, team chat, clan chat. I can't Deny or Accept anyones kicks. Could someone help me out? I've tried changing the buttons in the control area on Crossfire but it won't allow me select anything else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
