Usually Tournaments have the Prizes Ready Before Launching..

The prize money has yet to reach the pockets of the ESG Winter Series Champions and we are preparing for the Spring Series....

Any thoughts?

The story goes that a check was mailed and should have reached them and this was exactly two weeks ago, and a week before that they were told they were mailed. How long does it take for a check to arrive in the mail?
We don't distribute the cash prizes, Z8Games does. Unless you work for them, don't assume you know how things work. It's not a push of a button. They issue company checks because that's how they do business as a company. That's how money set in a budget for eSports is kept track of for company books. There is nothing broken. It's been busy at their office, so things weren't done the very second the series was over. How is that unprofessional?

Why ask about an issue that you aren't a part of? I believe Erick asked once and it was a valid question. This isn't your concern, so why bring it up? If someone on Fly Society has a problem, they can bring it up to us. You don't need to be their messenger because they let you on the team.
My team and I have been waiting and wondering if the checks were mailed to us yet?

I've submitted a support ticket on ESG website asking the same question and Erick responded to me saying, "From what i know the money was sent. Its out of our hands now, you'll have to bring it up with z8"

I need a confirmation from Saidin if this is true. Thanks!

When they did "take it up with you" they were told it is out of ESG's hands and to take it up with Z8games.... This is professional? I believe Erick told them this. I am concerned because I am investing my time to compete for a prize of $500 that is promised but the Champions of the Winter Series have yet to receive their money. How am I suppose to feel about this?

I am not blasting ESG but just raising community awareness. It's cool that the ZP prizes were given but the reason this event had so much buzz was because of the Money offered... WHERE IS IT?!

Comments

  • it's $100

i make that on my youtube a day. I suggest you change careers

So please, don't play in ESG if you have such a problem with it. That situation doesn't concern you, because your team used a cheater to win matches. Stop making posts on here about it because it doesn't have anything to do with you. And the prize money is funded 100% by z8games, ESG doesn't deal with that end at all. So when people come to us, we have to send them to z8games.

What does my previous team have to do with this? And it does concern me when I hear about from one of the Winter Series champs what happened and I am asked what they should do.

How do you not deal with the prize money for "your" tournament?! If anything it should you guys who reach out to Z8games, you have the established business relationship with them not the competitor in "your" tournament, it's so simple! Which do you think would be faster if you questioned them or if someone whom they don't know reaches out to them? Be honest...

"You" listed that the prize is $500, right? Why shouldn't you deal with or at least see it through that the prize is distributed?

edit: I never said I have a problem with ESG, I have a "concern" and if you really cared about the growth of ESG you would look into the issue rather than tell someone not to participate. Seriously?!
  • oh course he lied to you!

name 1 admin/figure that has ever been trustworthy in this game?

I was permbanned from wogl for being outspoken in my disagreement with their rule set. As for me being trustworthy, don't get your hopes up. I have the heart of a vulture financier when it comes to gaming. I look to crush my opponents.

    OCG datamined people...

I didnt say OCG I said me. I didn't Datamine. I was hired to run events, and thats what I did.

Leave it to an evil overlord like ocg kyle (don't actually remember his name, but he seemed like a kyle) to hire a peon who can't see the big picture to do his bidding

also i had ulterior motives with volunteering for wogl, i wanted to ensure the future of my all items allowed league (nothing wrong with wanting to frag out with my spop, angel wings, witchs hat, and m4 silver). sadly, i gave up on my dream, and oL moved on to other things.

who's to say you didn't have any ulterior motives? especially with you being known for trying to turn the tables, or flip them don't remember which.

Then I'm not sure why they decided you were the person to go through. You don't have any knowledge of it, and it doesn't concern you. So stop posting about it. I will ask Saidin to check on it, and z8games will deal directly with the players to distribute prizes. ESG doesn't have any part in that. What's so hard to understand about that?

    youre so funny mike xddddddddddddd
  • I've already checked with Saidin and he said he was looking into it. We're not dodging anyone or not delivering anyone's prizes. How have we done anything unprofessional? We haven't. I just don't have any useful news as of yet to give Fly Society. When I do, I will talk to THEM. Please stop bringing it up. This isn't a "community" discussion in any way, shape, or form. Thank you.

    Update, just talked to Saidin:

"They were mailed this week should be in hands by end of next week."

    There you go.
