Thanks Z8Games for the free VIRUS SCAN!!!

Yesterday (Dec. 26) I was browsing through the forums and a message box appeared asking me to scan my pc for viruses. I know all about these scams/viruses in which I quickly ended the iexplore.exe process (closed internet explorer with Task Manager) to prevent the virus from infecting my pc. It happened again while reading the Metin2 Comics on the Metin2 Website. I think someone has infected your websites with a virus and some people may not know what it is and actually run the scan thus infecting their PC. It only happens while browsing YOUR websites. Oh also i went to resume my last browsing session and was directed to a site named scan-now5t.com.

your already infected because it has nothing to do with the z8 forums so go scan your comp for malware

It's possible that it was from an advertiser. I suggest using Firefox and Adblock Plus until we can pinpoint the source of the problem.

the 'virus scans' offered by adverts are usually viruses in themselves. ignore them.

i don't use any antivirus nor firewalls and i haven't had those problems, at least here =S
but in other sites i've gotten it... and i know which site you're talking about... it's annoying

I do use Firefox! In the last 36 hours it hasn't happened anymore though so that's a good thing. I also use Avast but when the "virus scan" popped up Avast didn't catch it hmmm. Anyways like I was saying it hasn't happened in the last day and a half, so whatever you guys did it worked LOL. Just be careful browsing any websites. If a "virus scan" message pops up DO NOT CLICK ON IT!!! Open task manager and end the process iexplore.exe or firefox.exe and it'll go away!
