Springs Series Player Spotlight
Before we start just wanted to put out a thread to discuss some Impact players for Spring Series. The following Impact players, were players I believe to be underrated in the competitive scene and/or players who have a strong influence on their rosters ability to win based on their performance.
Teams or players were left out because I found their roster to be balanced or that there wasn't 1 person I could easily say would be a key impact player for that team.
Now here is some of the most underrated or high Impact players I would like to mention going into this event.
ANDRE (Fly Society)
Andre is a very key player in my opinion for Fly Society. Now while I do say he is a key factor in their ability to win, I do think that as whole the team still performs very well, I just think Andre is what sets this team above teams they might be close with in competition.
Andre tends to be a very strong fragger for his team and is notorious for hitting nice shots at great times. IE getting 3, 4, or even 5ks in clutch or unfavorable situations. He is probably one of the stronger shots in the game, and I would advise that no team underestimate such a strong player.
Logic (Trio)
After leaving enlighten for Trio, logic has became a strong presence on their roster. Though, he tends to just be decent in scrims, Logic is definitely a player who can put a team on his back in matches when needed. With a strong shot, and confident attitude, look for Logic to be an Impact player for Trio's Success in Spring Series.
CNK (SprayOps)
Having played with and against CNK many times, I feel like he will be a very key Impact player for Sprayops. Having most recently play all the way to the top 3 in CFS qualifiers for Season 2, he proved he can perform well. He has decent communication, and a great shot. He is a solid entry fragger which can do a lot for a teams momentum, even if they aren't the best team out there. I feel like Sprayops made a good choice with CNK as a late pick up before ESG. Look for CNK to be a key player for Sprayops going into this event.
Zilla (Bio Gaming)
Zilla has been here and there in the competitive scene for a while, but I consider him a very strong player overall. He grasps fundamentals better than a lot of players I know and has a good shot on top of that. Look for Zilla to do well for Bio Gaming in Spring Series.
Fastlikewind (Trix)
After a great run in the last ESG event, watching Fastlikewind surprised me in how much of a key player he is. Having a very nice shot, and playing pretty smart, I think Fastlikewind will be a strong performer for Trix, who all seem to play very well together.
Clan / TUKTOYAKTUK (flick)
Flick at first was a team I would have said never could have made it far. After seeing improvements from wow, and the rise of clan as a player, I feel like they have a fighting chance. Clan has a great sniper shot, though he has some moments where he slips in terms of smart decision making, his shot has shown as one of the better snipers among e8. Good luck to flick and keep improving as a team, you guys are on the right track for sure.
Sauce (LPK)
Sauce has been around for a long time in the competitive scene, however I think his talents are truly underrated. Sauce has an amazing shot and the ability to perform well for just about any team he plays with our against. I feel like he is a huge boost for LPK in terms of their ability to do well in ESG. Look for Sauce to be a hard fragger and a strong player for LPK in ESG Spring Series.
Tori (Assault 5)
Tori is by far one of the better female players in our version of the game. She plays smarter than a lot of people I know, and has a pretty good shot to back it. Though she has some inconsistencies I would still consider a great player for Assault 5 to have on their team, and one who could be a huge different maker for their team in ESG.
Weeni (Player Slayer)
Having played the game with him here and there, and watching him play for a while, I feel like he is a very strong player for Player Slayer going into this event. Weeni is a strong communicator and has a good shot to back it. His tendency to make good decisions and perform well has landed here on my list of players to watch for ESG Spring Series.
Audemaus (T!TAN)
Most people probably don't know who this is. He has been in and out of the competitive scene for a few years however he has a large amount of experience in FPS games for PC making him a very strong player in my eyes. Playing with him is great because he knows better than most players how to form good habits and develop good fundamentals. Best of luck to him and T!TAN going into ESG.
DROPLSHOT (Unison)
Formerly known as Solo.Acme, Drop is a great player and one who I think will perform well in ESG for Unison. Having played with him and Superseries for OCG and seeing him do quite well made me confident in him as a player. Now leading Unison I think he is a player to watch. He has strong ability to perform under pressure and in clutch situations and a decent shot to back it. All in all Unison will have a good time in ESG if Drop can continue to perform well.
Like I said above if I didnt pick someone from your team to point out it doesn't mean I think your team is bad. I chose people who I think can or will be a Key Impact on how their team performs in ESG. Good luck to all the teams participating, and hope to see some good matches in ESG Spring Series.
