ESG Teams / Tiers
Since several others are doing it, here's my version of who the top contenders are in ESG.
I will not be rating my own team. I, as stated before, believe that we will do very well.
1. !nstinct
!nstinct's new roster, for those unaware, is RALF, Harvey, ERICK, Sype, and 15oL. Taking the 2 smartest players from !nstinct, RALF and 15oL then picked up Harvey, ERICK, and Sype for this ESG event. With one of the best in-game leaders CrossFire has to offer in ERICK, I'm expecting !ns' usual pug-like atmosphere to be much more focused and directed in the upcoming matches. A much more balanced roster than before, I'm excited to see how they play, and if they will stick around long-term. I expect a top 2 placing.
2. Ace Gaming
Ace Gaming is still Ace Gaming. What they lack in individual shots and gameplay, they make up for in experience and dedication. While they haven't been practicing all that heavily lately, I don't think it will take them very long before they can get right back into the swing of things. Ace Gaming maintains an advantage over most other competitors once they make Tournament stage, as they consistently practice with and against armour. I expect a top 5 placing.
3. Fly Society
With the recent pick of up Wizdom and Aztckk-, this combination of Fly Society and Enlighten has an even scarier ability to aim than before. However, Fly Society consists of mainly m4 / AUG users. From my knowledge, they struggle against armour'd opponents, or when forced into using AKs to combat the armour. I expect them to place top 5; however, of the top tier teams, Fly Society is the most likely to lose to a dark horse team.
1. Player Slayer
Being led by doop, another of the better in-game leaders CrossFire has to offer, gives them much higher chances of success. British, Lucci, and Mango also have incredible shots, when they are on-point. If everything comes together for them, I can see definite upsets in their future. I expect this team to make top 8, and it will be interesting to see how they adapt to armour once there.
2. Trio
A collection of old "amazing" shots, with the addition of Logic. This team is in this tier simply for the unknown factor. If they can get to their old level of aiming, they have more than enough of a chance to compete with the likes of Fly Society or Ace Gaming.
3. FragStarsX
Wotip, Juice, Kryptaknight, Hotness, and a lineup of several good other choices as a 5th, ranging from Henry to Sheepbacon. While I do not expect them to win, I have respect for Juice and Kryptaknight's abilities to randomly drop a 20 bomb at any given half.
1. Prime
Led by mykL, Prime has recently acquired Ty2k. With Drel returning to their roster for this event, their lineup is fairly solid. I expect this team to do very well. With a host of narrow wins in the ESG Winter Series, with almost every map going down 10-8, they have shown that they don't fold under pressure.
2. Trix
Trix placed 4th in the ESG Winter Series, and has shown that they are willing to practice and improve as time goes on. With an already solid performance under their belt, I'm interested to see how things turn out for them this event.
3. LPK
LPK vTroll, as ERICK once affectionately called his team, no longer has their strat caller. However, with the addition of Dag and Kelp, and an amazing player such as Sauce, they are certainly one of the better teams in this event.
I don't think anyone else is worth mentioning.

Top Tier
These teams are my "favorites". That is to say, I would expect them to have the upper hand in each match they played. ESG admins, you should place none of these teams in the same group or conference play. Forget "randomness", that's just being fair.

Dark Horse Tier
These teams have the ability to create upsets among the top 3. I do not necessarily expect these teams to win, but neither would I be surprised to see a win over one of the top tier teams.

High Tier
These teams are those I do not believe will not beat any of the top three in this event. These are the other teams to "watch out for".

This was a very good read, I also agree with HA, those teams are worth mentioning. I respect your opinions on evaluations and analyses. You should do this more often. Maybe you can do a thing like CF Comp News (a more creative title of course) or weekly summaries.

One player doesn't make you high tier, yet alone good enough to take matches off of Ace or Ins.
