Original ping is 60-80 but now its 150+ ?

Hello, I used to play crossfire long time ago and my ping at the UK servers was like 60-80.
but I stopped playing it for months and when I tried to play it nowadays my ping on the same servers is like 150+ ?!

Any1 have a fix for that or something? I tried a regedit fix about adding tcp thing and It didnt work, thanks in advance...

This can have many causes... wrong server choice ingame, your antivirus, your Internet Provider, Malware on your PC, wrong settings on your PC..... btw the UK Server are now located in Cologne, Germany.

the stange thing I noticed now too is I have the same ping at US servers (150+ ping)
which cant be normal, Im from Egypt and I should have a way lower ping in the UK than US, isnt it?

Also I tried the game on another computer ( which is windows 8) and still has the same ping.
my PC is windows 7 btw.

my ping has been the same (at 60) but I do get nasty ping spikes that go up between 1500-9000. They have become more rare now though.

Same here, my ping was 60 when the servers was in UK. After they brought to servers into Germany, my ping reduced to 45 for a 3 months then something happened my ping increased to 75/81. But since 4 day my ping went down to 59/61 and yesterday it was 56, looks like they reducing it. I hope I gain my old ping back.

For the spikes I had it before and it got fixed with this fix, so try it yourself :

"* Open regedit
* Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile
* There will be an entry for network performance throttling, default value is 10; set it to FFFFFFFF hex (willl look like 0xFFFFFFFF to the right of the entry)

Yeah but atleast your ping is playable on the server, mine is 2 times higher than my usual and unplayable versus most of the people with 80- ping.
