My mom never got mad at me for not buying her a gift. I haven't always bought her stuff for Christmas but I would always make a card or something at least for her on 8th of March. On her birthday dad and I would buy her something, and even if sometimes it wasn't much she never got mad. She would rather say not to waste money on such things.my parents have thaught me that birthdays was the only thing that matter.
but last year she got really mad at me because I didn't buy her anything for mothersday.

I'm sorry to say but if your girlfriend didn't know 8th of March is women's day (especially mother's day) means she's an *******. I have always given my mom something for 8th of March ever since kindergarden because we were taught that is a good thing to do. Appreciating your mom. Yep, *******.
I don't care what you think about her, she makes me happy so yeah.. xD The point I was trying to make was my girlfriend doesn't care about this day for herself. Of course she knows when it's Mother's Day, EVERYONE DOES because the clock goes backwards in the UK.

30th of March is Mother's Day lol, I know because like I said before the time goes back by one hour and we get an extra hour of sleep xD
I know I ain't selfish but apparently some people here would disagree that putting your mother/girlfriend/best friends above yourself and strangers is not selfish looooooool
Anyhow looks likes things are different where you live, where do you live? I'm from England BTW lol -

Umm ok maybe its a country thing because here 8th of march is considered mother's day.. recently they started celebrating all women on this day. -
There's Mother's day, Valentine's Day, and International Women's day but there is only one holiday that males gets appreciated and that is Father's day. Talking bout fair.

Equal rights are important. International Women's Day is not. (dont worry, international men's day is equally unimportant)
Its like how civil rights are important here in the US, but Martin Luther King Jr.'s day means nothing (to most).
Taking a day to celebrate and pay attention to these subjects makes no sense to me. Having to take a day to make people think about it is sad isn't it? We should celebrate diversity and appreciate those who helped the cause every day.

OP that is such a good story. I really can't pick "one part" that I liked the best. But if you were to hold a gun to my head, I would go with the part with the pictures. I just got off the phone with an armored truck company. They will be arriving in the morning to pick up my back up disk, which I just saved your story on to. There probably won't be much traffic, because I forwarded the police your story, and they agreed to escort the armored truck to its destination. At first the police chief didn't want to help, but then I guided his attention to the incredible pictures that you embedded along with your story. I mean, the story was good enough. But as soon as I saw the pictures that went along with it, I called my grandmother, who is blind and has Alzheimer’s disease to tell her. As far as her doctors in the nursing home are concerned, she is cured of all her ailments now that she heard your cool story. She is actually preparing to run the Boston marathon this year now. Thank you OP. -
