Crashes to windows at end of match?

Recently got back into Crossfire,

Am not familiar with new patches etc., but have gotten a few crashes today.

It's always at the end of a round where it goes to the results screen, and it crashes straight back to my desktop with no explanation.

Any ideas as to what the problem is? My computer isn't very fast, some other games (Silent Hunter3+4, Battlefield2, etc.) also crash too due to low memory, but CrossFire runs great on this machine otherwise.

this happen to me too.
But i just keep running my crossfire again.
it's not a big deal but sometime when fun start to happen,
ill be angry about it lols

same here, just play some scrims you will quit the game fast

So it's probably a CrossFire issue and not a PC issue huh?

Just got a 'Data transmission Unstable' message upon Login, and it crashed.

OK, I'll live with it - as long as it's not something I can fix - and will put up with it.

You have to re-download crossfire from z8games most likely that will fix it xD

As always, a re-download can sometimes help.

As for the crashes, it's a 50/50 mix of pc versus the coding in CF. The recent patch had some problems when the team attempted to hotfix something after the patch went live, and that caused some more problems while other ones were fixed.

You can be assured after the holidays, heaps of work is on the plate instead of ham and yams

I'd like to say that there is nothing wrong with what Grey said. The technical issue is very very hard to spot, because GMs and Mods don't know what is going on with with your computer and all they can do is making sure the sever and the game itself are fine.

yea its not very easy to spot out, but this issue now happens less then it did from two patches ago

Sorry for the delay in replying, was at the hospital. It's all good though.

A reinstall never crossed my mind - as much as I hate messing around with redownloading/setting it all up again, it'll be worth the not crashing at the end of the rounds.

Beta is really glitchy, about 1/2 games, someone gets DC'd at the start and we all have to re-make the game.

the same is happening to me. is not our PC's is CF! sudden attack's game stability is greater than CF's. i cant believe it.

This happens to me in probably 8 out of 10 matches. The crash doesn't bother me.

BUT NOT GETTING PAID BECAUSE OF IT ****ES ME OFF.

Yeah with the new update if you quit a match it crashes your crossfire, I think Z8 did that on purpose. But the thing that ****3s me off is when you play a whole match and you crash as soon as the game is over and you don't get any xp. This happens every 9/10 games.

the real issue

I keep getting the same error. 9 out of 10 times my game crashes after a round. What is bothering me though besides not getting any exp, gp or losing a chance for an ace cause I can barely ever join a game from the start (if I wanna play in the same room again, cause I play with friends) is, that a whole feature of the game gets lost for me. I have had to stop playing clan matches, cause 3 out of two of my clanmates have the same issue. Starting a clan war and having to play the second round with less than half the teammates just doesn't work. For the sake of keeping all the features in the game useable I highly push on making this a priority for fixing.

(and another little suggestion - how bout an auto-reply pm to everyone who uses the word "hack" in a chat, like "if you are sure of what you are saying, please save the replay and report after the round is over and let the people in this room play in peace") =P
