Windows 8.1 pro x64 and Crossfire

On windows 8.1,errors start from the beginning when you start the CF,first it doesn't matches with the screen resolution(may be it's my monitor) and than other errors and at last when i try to close it,it just get stuck and then i have to close it by task manager.
Well crossfire worked fine with windows 7 ultimate with no problems ,in windows 8.1 sometimes xtrap gives an error and sometimes i get DC don't know why,ports are forward.

Plz post your solution's if you have any here......

Same here: Windows 7 = no problems.
Now: Windows 8.1 = FPS 20 ~ 35 and after 30 Minutes of playing appears this Message ''You are blocked from the server for 5 Minutes etc!''

Yup,low fps and DC's and than blocked for 5-6 mins.....

Are u sure ? the problem just win 8.1 ? i'm using win 8.1 Pro 64 bit and my FPS between 225-175...


i think u dont fix your system settings... win 8.1 gets max perforce at so many games..

i have too problem crossfire with win 8.1 my problem when i played more times (3-4 hours after) game cant exit and i get memory error and x -trap like appeir to me like u :P This problem has same crossfire EU my solution is simple i play CF 1 h or 2h max and enough today !!! so many hackers or egy ppl cant play with them after 1-2 h :P

Ok well,
when you start the game don't click anywhere else so it will load properly.

For fps if you have built-in gpu(graphic card) or low gpu than you should go in settings and turn the texture to low,turnoff weather effect's to get maximum fps and if you are not a H@cker reporting dude or you saved games for practice or learning tactics etc than you should also turnoff save reply from options in Misc. to get better fps.
If you have a good gpu than you should turn on vertical sync. from gpu drivers to get steady fps like 60 or 75 depending on your LCD screen refresh rate....if you'r gpu is old,than you may feel laggy fps when Emd boss comes etc.

For closing issue,it sometimes closes without problem when you close it after playing some time.

Searching for DC's fix,if anyone have solution about Dc's so please tell us....

Reasons for Disconnections while playing CF

Most of the Dc's are faced by people which are not in UK...

Reasons:
You are using wifi.
Your internet is being used by your family members or your neighbours.
Your router can't support too many devices(rear case)happens to me. Problem in your line,it's SNR margins are low they can be effected by small factors like by sun and weather effects if you have copper wire.
Windows firewall is blocking the connections or your router is blocking it.

Solutions:
Use wire instead of wifi or gaming.
Play CF when your family members are not using wifi or turnoff the wifi from rotuer
settings or from router.
Use router page to know about its SNR margin if they remain constant than it
good if it doesn't remain stable or are low than you have problem in your line so
contact your isp and tell them you have noise in you line.
Open the ports in your router and also in you windows firewall if you antivirus make
exceptions for CF.

Make sure your files are up to date, flashplayer, adobe reader, graphics card, etc. Try right clicking your game file and go to properties, click the compatibility tab and run the game in either xp service pack 3 or windows 7 compatibility mode. Always run this game as administrator, it is finicky and loves to be an ass.

If you face disconnections,try this it helped me......

Go to Device manage>Network adapter>>choose your adapter>>>right click on it and go to its properties>>>>power management>>>>>uncheck Allow this computer to turnoff...>>>>>>Click Ok.
