Couldn't establish a connection..

I get this error every time I go to download crossfire. I have windows 8.1. I have really good internet connection as-well and I've played the game before just on a older pc. Any answers? this is my 2nd time posting also.

Hey i have a new PC with Windows 8.1 too and now problems with my FPS ingame... i think CF and Windows 8.1 dont work fine together.. :S
