Need help with Adobe Flash

Ive been tinkering around with a scoreboard overlay that I will be using when I stream matches. Im using Adobe Flash Professional CS6.

The problem I am having is the background wont go transparent.

If anyone has any experience with Flash, please help a Purv out

Set the filter setting, specifically, the alpha parameter to a number near zero. The image will be transparent.

Can you give me directions of doing so? Im new to Flash

First, select an symbol, button or graphic from the stage (or the screen). Take a look at it's properties from the right. Goto color effect, and select Alpha. Drop the percentage to your liking.


Alternatively, if you did not convert the background to a symbol or the like, you can change the background transparency from it's fill color. Just drop the alpha percentage to zero. You can find it here.
