you move on by moving on
you can cherish and enjoy the memories of happiness you had together; there is no need to forget her
just realize your relationship with her did not define who you are as a person. just go back to what you were doing before you went out with her. you can even continue to do the things you came to enjoy from your time spent with her. the phrase to each their own exists because a persons happiness is not dependent on others. if you think you will never again feel happiness that you felt in the relationship you are deluding yourself for the sole fact that you felt comfortable in the relationship and dont want to have to feel the pain of another one coming to the end. hate to break it to you, but the reason why happiness feels so good is because pain feels so terrible. they are mutually exclusive. just go out and live, you only have so many breathes lift in this world, don't waste them sighing -
Moving on isn't easy. What I did was hang out with my friends. Being with them made me happy. Go and work out, go for walks, go do something fun. Make yourself feel confident and spend time with your friends. I cant stress that enough. I know it ain't easy, but you need to get rid of things that remind you of her. You can't talk to her either. No contact is the way to go. Sounds cliche but it works. When and if she tries to talk to you again, you need to be strong and ignore it. Only time can heal things like this. And with time, you'll find someone new and say to yourself, wow, I'm happier with this new girl now than I was with her. She broke up with you, it's her loss, and you can do much better. Good luck bro!
