Can I know why people hate Windows Vista?

There is nothing Vista does that Windows 7 can't do better and with less resources.

Win 8 would be even better, but I'm always iffy about using the latest OS, for program/game compatibility and I'm not sure I'd be able to use my beloved Windows Classic theme on there. Visual effects do nothing for me.

Windows 8 is perfectly fine, my friend. You can use classic on there too.

Just a stepping stone between xp and 7 . Was heavy on the ram, it preloads commonly used programs like 7 but 7 does it properly without actually chewing up the ram. I rocked vista for a good 5 years on my main pc.
It wasn't as bad as win 98 rofl. Plug n pray usb ftw
