I fail to see the lie. he didn't mention, "the barrett is not coming to the CF NA, ever", he mentioned that "it's not coming out now".

"as of now" implies something in the present that may change in the future.

the thread was made in 2009.
the devs didn't have plans to add the barrett back then, they do now. 2009, 2014.
