Crossfire 2014
Hey everyone it has been a while since I have made any posts on the forums. I just wanted to take this time to appreciate the support of our family, friends, and fans who are constantly supporting us through this wonderful journey. It takes hard work and dedication to acheive great things and I am happy that I am working with the boys at Kanata. We have gone through our troubles and arguments in the past months and I am glad we have stayed together.
As you know, Crossfire Stars Season 2 will be happening in a month and Crossfire Stars Season 3 will happen in the 3rd quarter of 2014. As well, WCG will most likely pick up Crossfire once again in late November. With Season 2 and Season 3 of CF Stars totaling around 360 thousand dollars and WCG totaling 100 thousand there is a ton of money on the line this year with these three international competitions.
In addition, there has been confirmation of Crossfire 2 on the Unreal Engine which is hopefully going to be great. With the original creators of Crossfire collaborating with the Chinese developers, I am sure CF2 will be great. As some of you have seen Crossfire has is the number one grossing F2P game. Although there are many other factors to consider, Crossfire still ranking number one in this aspect shows that Crossfire growth is going to continue.
Z8games has also signed with ESG to start bringing cash prizes, although small this is a beginning to something much better. There has also been rumors of some bigger things happening in CF NA that I hope will happen.
I just want to sum this post up by saying, Crossfire is growing and will continue to grow. Crossfire is showing enormous growth and will continue to conquer the FPS competitive scene. I hope that payers will stick around to see how large Crossfire will be come in 2014 and the following years.

Four years and nothing has changed in this game. Just promises by Saidin. You guys barely have competition in North america (not saying you're bad, but players are diminishing every month).
As for you saying crossfire will continue to grow, this is solely due to the fact that this game makes a ridiculous amount of revenue from Brazilians and other foreigners, which gives Tencent and Smilegate easy opportunities to create international events to keep the game "popular".
I feel that the only reason Ayrin (and other players from Kanata) make this game sound so great is because they are always getting trips to China to compete, while the harsh reality is that Crossfire is still a sub-par FPS game with broken mechanics and a broken AC. -

Everyone is given the same opportunity for these trips to China. Just because Kanata/Socks/Carbon was winning all of them doesn't mean there wasn't a chance for everyone else.
This game HAS grown. We went from having "kinda" one league with WOGL (This is when i started playing) to having multiple tournaments every month. Not to mention going from ZERO international competitions to 2-3 every year with pretty large prize pools.
Ayrin is one of the few people who actually tries to promote this game as a player. It's pretty obvious that he wasn't looking for a debate about the growth of Crossfire over years, hes simply trying to keep a positive attitude towards the game that he has been successful in.
I understand that you (snipes) insist on only posting negative things about this game/the people who play, but you don't have to post in EVERY topic. You're more than entitled to your opinion, but you need to learn when to share it. -

Anyone can compete to go to China but every year there are less teams playing. Kanata is the only team that has stuck around so it gives them an easy trip.
The game has grown with tournaments but like I've been saying players have been leaving. You must have remembered the wide amount of teams in WOGL S1 right? Compare that to leagues/tournaments now, there's just no variety anymore.
What is Ayrin trying to promote? He is making this game sound bettter than it really is. -

There are two ways to look at the 'growth' of crossfire I guess. You're looking at it in terms of player growth, which makes sense. Yes, the amount of players has decreased, but that isn't all attributed to the lack of growth in competition. Some players just get bored, or finally hit that age where they realize they don't need to game anymore. Also, to be fair, I'm sure CF loses some players due to the immaturity of our community. (Yes, myself included.)
I think that Ayrin is talking about the growth of the competitions, and the amount of effort being put into it. Yes, right now the player base isn't huge, but we all know come WCG or CFStars, there will be way more teams/players.
You have to try and look at the player base of crossfire from a different perspective. OUR community is small, but OUR community is the MOST competitive, rather than the ONLY competitive part of crossfire. Just look at the echo 8 community as the Invite division of crossfire. Yes its a small community, but its because its built up with the best players in our version.
Sure the progression of Crossfire is a slow process, but at least its moving. There are enough tournaments and events for the people who actually enjoy playing the game to be happy. -
For it to continue to 'grow', it would need better revenue from not only the 'competative' players but the vigorous casual players. Improved antihack protocols=more income from dedicated casual players. Regardless of controversial opinions.
However, I'm with you on the CF2. It's a great innovation to the franchise.
