what you think by people who set themselves up as a MOD?

I already know that you will call me wannabe mod or post farmer or something related to "farm". Yes I do some double posts and I do post quite a lot but If I don't care about post counts. If I did care about it I wouldn't be posting here since the PC will be reseted.
It is always good to see players being active on forums and doing their best to better the forums somehow other than mods. It is good to see players helping each other since this community is pretty impaired right now. -
I dislike back seat modding, there are staff and then there are non-staff related members. If someone is outright breaking the rules or makes a redundant topic the staff will take care of it, not a regular user, but instead they should report the issue to a Mod rather than making a fuss over something that can be resolved relatively fast.

No offence but if you really didn't care you wouldn't double post in the first place. -
It's one thing to just quote forum rules all over the place, which I have seen some recent user(s) have done, it's another to just try and make conversation, continue discussion, acting mature above all imo.
Being a mini-mod really isn't against the rules anymore in this 2.0 ruleset; I guess it may be just frowned upon. -

Pretty sure he isn't talking about people that show signs of common sense or maturity though.
Anyhow, playing forum police isn't helpful. Most of the time it's even making stuff worse. -
a thread that could have been moved within seconds now takes minutes because half the forum find it suitable to mention that the thread is indeed in the wrong section, the OP mistyped, or perhaps is from the wrong country.
and to no benefit. so no, i don't care for them. they do nothing good. -
I tell people if they're posting in the wrong section sometimes, people call me a mini mod a lot, honestly I don't care, I didn't even apply for being a mod and I would hate being one.
Telling people they are breaking the rules isn't a bad thing, just ignore them if they annoy you. Think of it as someone who's thinking of robbing a bank for example, wouldn't you want to tell them to not do it or they will face consequences? I know this analogy is kind of flawed but hey. -

Demoniite you are the man ^ -
Ban good behaviour.
Right..
seven infraction points for this silly thread.
It's not good behaviour because they're doing it for no one but themselves. They just want to make themselves look "good" so that hopefully one day they become a mof. -

This obvious example imo isn't so necessary when the OP only wanted a little help with their killmarks, even if it was for a different CF version lol.
edit: yes it's on a different thread fyi. -

Depends on their motives.
I have known a lot of mods in the past. Some are cool guys, up to the point they become mods and turn into jerks. Power gets to their head, that sort of thing.
But some are genuinely trying to help - Credit to them.
But people trying to become mods, is better than donuts like you diggie -

What power? Honestly it's more of a burden than anything, yeah you'll get recognized more, but there are no real benefits to being a mod imo. They get bashed on the forums a lot and from my experience from playing with them they get kicked a lot more in public games because of being mods.
