Just take note how easy it took to shut it down. This will happen to Crossfire and there wont be any refunds. :P
Honestly though, Can't believe they didn't see it coming.. Was horrendous waste of money.
it happens with most f2p games eventually, it isn't something that can't be avoided, and that is part of the reason companies run games like this, it doesn't require much assets and the assets that it does require are easy to liquidate in a short amount of time
however, running a fishing game wasn't the wisest decision, they should have considered marketing it for a longer period, especially considering it probably attracted a much older crowd. advertising on sites like hunting/outdoors websites would have helped maybe. -
it's four words man, certainly it's not too much.
he doesn't know it was a waste of money
he doesn't know they didn't see it coming.
better?
Mmmm... I guess? But if they've shut down the servers, that's because they're not making enough money...
Also, I'm pretty sure it's always taken into account about a new game possibly failing.. Specially on an idea that's been in arcades and PS1's...
Granted shooters aren't that new either, but small variety and online multiplayer does keep it alive and interesting...
But, I don't know what Fishing Hero offered so I'm just talking as a person who would wonder how a f2p fishing game that offers premium items expected (or maybe didn't expect) to stay afloat...
There wasn't a whole lot of advertisement or talk from what I can tell for the game before and during its short life.. -

At least Z8Games played it smart by buying the licence for Lost Saga which already has a active community. Thus, this means they don't have to do much advertising for the game.
