I recently got a 144hz BenQ 27-inch monitor for under 300. The 24 inch ones are at 299 on Amazon.

Like everyone else has said. VG248QE. Same panel as the BenQ 2x11ts for a lot cheaper. Also lightboost compatible for even less persistence. You can also wait for the G-sync version which will come out sometime 2'Q of this year but it will run you about 100$ more. More than worth the cost for G-sync imo.
