Team Absolute and maybe Icenine dq'd for eu

http://www.esl.eu/eu/crossfire/forum/1683/26872/1147628/?lastvisit=1386942536
An esl-admin suddenly says that people can't chinastep 1 day before the cfstars playoffs. Damn such doge arguements.

http://www.esl.eu/eu/crossfire/cups/cfs13_playoffs/match/29333191/
Here is the french team(SakGe/Select) who would never win a match in cfstars protesting about Icenine chinastepping and Icenine saying they are not chinastepping.

http://www.esl.eu/eu/crossfire/cups/cfs13_playoffs/match/29333174/
Here is icenine totally outplaying Team Absolute while chinastepping. After a whole bunch of arguements about it Icenine goes through the round and all the way to the finals to meet another "chinastepping protest"

http://www.esl.eu/eu/crossfire/cups/cfs13_playoffs/match/29333187/
Team Absolute got DQ'd for chinastepping.

http://www.esl.eu/eu/crossfire/cups/cfs13_playoffs/rankings/
Brackets.

Will Icenine also be Dq'd?
Will Europe send away some mediocre team and lose every match?
Finally USA/Canada might place better than Europe? :D

Or will esl allow chinastepping. LMAO if you can't even use your asdw buttons. What is the point of playing the game? xD. This and many other reasons is why I left the european community. I mean, just look at the arguements!

Comments

  • Icenine/Absolute isn't better than Carbon/Socks/Kanata.
  • I spoke with Team Absolute yesterday, and I have to agree that this situation is ridiculous. To top it off, the players can't even properly negotiate with the ESL admins, and no GM's are available to help.

The reason that ESL banned "china-stepping" was supposedly because of the silent advantage it gives players, and yet this has never been an issue in any tournament till this day. In fact, "china-stepping" has been a crucial component in competitive play since it's discovery. Needless to say, "china-stepping" is ingrained in every competitive player's muscle memory at this point. So, accidentally china-stepping for even a few seconds is practically unavoidable. To disqualify teams for this is just plain unreasonable, especially since this rule was introduced 30 minutes before the start of the first qualifier match.

I'm hoping for CF EU's sake that this will be fixed, but so far it doesn't seem like it.

    wtf is 'chinastepping'.

Absolute only won their group in wcg and beat socks. Nah, they are not better than socks xD
Absolute did not even play with their s5 in wcg btw.
  • Just wanna leave some facts.

Absolute was the first team who started protesting because of chinastepping even though they did it aswell. And gues what, they did it against i9. If they simply would have left this match for good, because they lost it 18-5, they both don't would have earned the first warning. So basically they got dqed because of their own mistake.

Sure it's a ****ty rule to announce 30 minutes before the first match, but it's not that hard to play without chinastep. Okay, maybe you do it accidantly for like 1-2 secs, but some of i9 and absolute did it on purpose for a longer time.

I feel sorry for htem, because i like them as people and player, but it's their own fault. And i think i9 will not getting dqed, because they did it not that much and long.

    Sorry for my bad english.

Yah. The admins threaten to ban people if they don't do what they want lmao.

Well I guess we won't see until next time then xD

The problem wasn't "China stepping" to begin with, it was people who were scripting, so they basically bound a key to their mousebuttons and were able to Asian/ China walk without any errors. A lot of players started to complain about doing something about it, and the ESL admins did, maybe not the best timing.

Then, the CFEU GMs doesn't give a single **** about the competitive scene, as the GameRage and ESL forums are separate and the GMs only roam the GameRage one.

Besides, I even think that Saidin can have more of an impact on CFEU than the GameRage GMs, seeing how he keeps everything neat on CFNA and have an easier time contacting the "higher ups".

Then another problem is the arrogance that every "top" player have, and they also blame the ESL admins for doing bad jobs, when there's infact only around 5 of them, their decisions might not be the best, but with a tight scheduale like the CFS one they have to make quick decisions, it's already hard enough for them when everyone who won't be able to do a better job are talking ****.

It's the community itself, and yet people are blaming the ESL admins.
  • Well, this is incredible,

Chinastep SCRIPT destroyed the gameplay in the EU version, everyone agree with that

Suddenly, people started to write about it on forums, and the admins resolved to BAN everyone that chinastep ingame, ok right, WHEN?

1hour before the first match, before the most important tournament for every single EUROPEAN player, its like the worldcup for CF players.

Well, the admins said "CHINASTEP its not allowed, we never said it was allowed"
but this was not explicit in the ruleset...
I mean, they made this rule, nothing was really clear, and they started to punish meanwhile the protests start to come, they never had a punishment table, or anything like that...

Well, for most of the teams, they dont give a crap, if they will be DQ or not, teams that knew from the begining of the tournament that they will never be abble to beat teams such icenine, absolute or any other good team, but, for the teams that have ambicious to WIN the current consequences and punishments are extremely ******ed.

The admins never had a planification for this, they are not prepared for this, never tried to ban chinastep before, and they dont even know what to do, thats why they take like 2 days to answer a ticket.

    Best regards,
    zz9dx.
  • Hello.

I'm not here representing ESL, but I wanna state something that has been clear for the entire community.

    "
    2.7. Bug / Glitch usage
Bug/Glitch using is not allowed when the game is not meant to be played like that.
    "

That is an ESL rule that was made years ago. That is a general "logical" rule. What does that mean? You have to be smart enough to not go inside walls, jump in buildings, go under floor, or anything that would abuse the game by exploiting it.

Chinese Walk ( the practice of walking/running without making noise ) was never allowed in the first place. Problem was that some members of the community started making macros and scripts to be able to perfect the Chinese Walk and it totally made the game unplayable.

The Admins made that decision based in the community.

The community said to ban CW/Scripting, and so the admins did it.

After some matches and protests, the community QQed claiming the Admins banned it.

So I'm here defending the ESL team since they are getting "flamed" when they just decided to make the best thing for the community/game.

Also, all the teams are being judged in a fair way. If there is a rule, you can't break it. It's as simple as that.

    Thank you.

Aside from the fact thats Absolute beat Socks in China(WCG), they are all on the same level except Icenine. Icenine is definetely better then Socks/Carbon ect.

seem like in AMerica we have more freedom hahahahahaha

If chillz is still scoping then no, they aren't. I smack that bish in my sleep ;)
  • Chillz got cut I heard.

Scripting is not allowed. OFC, we knew that.

Chinesewalking can be done by pressing your asdw buttons. That is not against the rules in any other client. The ESL admins got a question to remove the scripting. Not the movement. I mean, poeple have been playing with their movement-style since 2009-2010. I am for sure not quitting chinesewalk around corners for some lame-ass-reason.

Sure, the admins are not getting paid for their work and I apreciate their work but that is one step too far. To not let people use their asdw buttons is lame. + They are acting like some kind of gods and then expecting respect from the community which is already bad.
  • wondering why this is even in our forum...
sucks though. Hope your admins come to their senses

You should get your facts straight before you start accusing. All you have is biased information.
