Pretty sure Xtrap still detects it as a cheat unless it's been fixed. Anyway, if you use Windows 8 monitor capture is EXTREMELY fast with it and you don't need to alt-tab to fix the pixel glitch.

I'm at work atm so I can't use xfire.

Oh the dreaded game capture. As far as I know, you CAN'T use game capture with OBS for Crossfire. X-Trap blocks the use of game capture and closes out of CF.

The only way to do it is to use monitor capture but the downside is that you have to Alt Tab to prevent the f******ing.

I am lucky enough that I have a Video Capture Card which helps me go from Lobby to ingame without alt tabbing. Plus the VCC does all of the video encoding for streaming, so I don't have any CPU lag and can play at my normal 200+ fps.

As I've said, Windows 8 fixes the need to alt-tab.

I was toying with it and got it working without Xtrap crashing the game. Started my CF, went to windowed mode, set CF on game capture and set OBS to preview, then set it to full screen and started my stream. It seems alt-tabbing screws it up (big surprise, right?) and at times the image would freeze and other times it was fine.

So either it was fixed to not crash the game, which I highly doubt, or there's a certain way of doing it to getting it to work correctly. I'm also willing to assume that the image freezing would stop with Windows 8 as it appears to be a direct x bug which causes it.

It's working for me now. The only thing I've noticed is that if you alt-tab you need to refresh the game capture source or else it black screens your stream.
