A solution to hacks, hacker accusations, friendlier community and better gamplay!

This suggestion is in regards to the server list and how it works. The server system needs a total overhaul. I've done my research and observed how other FPS' work and I believe it's the best option for Cross Fire.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED?

The cogs and wheels behind the servers is perfect, yet it's what's on the outside that matters. There should be set requirments for accessing certain servers and channels.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

There are four servers. There's atleast one server that caters for you. Each server has a requirement to access it. Server #1 caters for Recuits - Sergeant 4. Server #2 caters for Staff Sergeant 1 - Master Sergeant 6. Server #3 caters for Second Lieutenant 1 or above. Now, your probably thinking how does this filter down the beginners from the pro's. Any pro can make a new account and totally obliterate the competition on Server #1 - that's true. This is what this new server plan should be focused at "Playing at your level of experience with players of your skill level".

Each server is broken down into 10 channels but each one has a requirement to enter it. This time it's not your rank that determines it but your KDR (Kill to Death Ratio). For example:

For someone who's a competent FPS player and is trying out Cross Fire for the first time, they might quilify for Channel 7. Channel 7's requires a KDR of 1 - 1.25. This means you'll be playing alongside players of your skill level but at the same time, alongside players who are new to Cross Fire, like you.

Here's a run-down of what I'm looking for*:

Server #1: Recruit - Sergeant 4
*Channel #1: KDR of .5 or below
*Channel #2: KDR of .5 - .75
*Channel #3: KDR of .5 - .75
*Channel #4: KDR of .5 - .75
*Channel #5: KDR of .75 - 1
*Channel #6: KDR of .75 - 1
*Channel #7: KDR of 1 - 1.25
*Channel #8: KDR of 1 - 1.25
*Channel #9: KDR of 1.25 - 1.5
*Channel #10: KDR of 1.5 or above

Sever #2: Staff Sergeant 1 - Master Sergeant 6
*Channel #1: KDR of .5 or below
*Channel #2: KDR of .5 - .75
*Channel #3: KDR of .5 - .75
*Channel #4: KDR of .75 - 1
*Channel #5: KDR of .75 - 1
*Channel #6: KDR of .75 - 1
*Channel #7: KDR of 1 - 1.25
*Channel #8: KDR of 1 - 1.25
*Channel #9: KDR of 1.25 - 1.5
*Channel #10: KDR of 1.5 or above

Server #3: Second Lieutenant 1 and above
*Channel #1: KDR of .75 or below
*Channel #2: KDR of .75 - 1
*Channel #3: KDR of .75 - 1
*Channel #4: KDR of 1 - 1.25
*Channel #5: KDR of 1 - 1.25
*Channel #6: KDR of 1 - 1.25
*Channel #7: KDR of 1.25 - 1.5
*Channel #8: KDR of 1.25 - 1.5
*Channel #9: KDR of 1.5 or above
*Channel #10: KDR of 1.5 or above

Server #4: Registered Cross Fire clan
*Channel #1:
*Channel #2:
*Channel #3:
*Channel #4:
*Channel #5:
*Channel #6:
*Channel #7:
*Channel #8:
*Channel #9:
*Channel #10:

*This is just an example and is not 100% accurate. It all depends on the demand for the server and channel.

You've probably noticed there's nothing for Server #4. That server is dedicated for clan vs. clan games and works the exact same way as it does now.

WHY SHOULD WE TAKE THIS IDEA INTO CONCIDERATION?

1) The requirements will prevent farming. A player can't train their account on another account that has 20 kills and 900 deaths can they. The other account would be way out of their league.

2) Hacking in some respects, will be decreased. The average hacker will score a very high KDR, such as 1.5 or above. Therefore, in order for that player with the hack to play, he/she must play at the highest requirement channel for his rank. What does this mean you ask? He won't get as many kills as there'll be players similar to level of his/her hack.

3) There won't be as many kick votings or hack allegations. Player's will respect eachother for their similar level of skill. Matches will be played out in a positive and friendly tone.

4) Player's will improve their FPS skills. You don't improve by playing with player's that are well below your skill level. You're not pushing yourself. By pushing yourself, you're concentrating on gameplay, thus improving your level of ability. It works the same way in bodybuilding. To gain muscle you can't do the bare minimum. You have to push yourself near the limits, so your body can gain muscle to become accustomed the that level of force.

CONCLUSION

Thanks for reading this guys. If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to do so. Just make sure their positive and if not, at least constructive. This is just a rough outline for what I'm looking for. I'm sure you guys will mold it far better. Have a nice day.

UPDATE 12/23/09
*Ok then. Everytime you finish a game, your KDR is updated. So on your first game, if you recieve a KDR of 1, then you'll be placed a channel that requires a KDR of 1. Thereafter, every game you play, your KDR is updated. So in the next game, if you recieve a KDR of .3 then, your KDR is updated and you'll be relocated to the appropriate server and channel of your KDR.

More so, there can be one allocated server for players with <500xp. This will allow players to become accustomed to the game and to determine their KDR for when they surpass 500xp and are reallocated the appropriate channel for their KDR.

"And there are some other things too." Please elaborate on this.
