Why do you still play this game?
Serious question.
What in it appeals to you guys? I just don't see it.. All you have here is a game with an outdated engine, a below average anti-cheat, and a bunch of foreigners who do nothing but yell racial slurs at you in chat.
Some more points;
~Why compete for WCG/CFS? The same teams are at the top, and let's be honest, no one is gonna change that. This community goes off first impressions way too much. You lose some scrims? Guess what, you're the worst team out there and should probably disband. This usually causes the 2 week teams we've been seeing here for years. Now don't get me wrong, it happens in every community, but WAY more in this one.
~This community is HATED by every other PC FPS community out there, you guys are the constant cause of jokes etc.
~OCG's a/c is horrible, easily bypassed. ESG is okay I guess.
~ EVERYTHING IS SO UNORGANIZED. Seriously, you guys suck @ keeping anything organized. Which also leads me to the 'Competitive' tab on this website. Let me ask, what is the point of it? It deters more people away, then it does bring them in. Shows you don't care much about the competitive scene, but wait it's z8games. All they care about is their fish heads and BRs.

And yo, wtf is up with everyone trolling Jpurv? Dude's a bit slow, and you all enjoy coming together and picking on him. At least find someone who can argue back, it's not fun watching a spec ed kid get bullied!

Overall though I actually agree with that post. In other games the competitive side seems more like a brotherhood, sure there are conflicts and fights, but overall people respect each other and realize that they all make each other better.

Why?
Because even though the community sucks, not ALL of the community sucks. The game might not be perfect but it's what we have played for the last few years and come on....Sometimes it just makes you laugh at the things the foreign noobs yell at you!
Getting kicked gets old sure......I might not play competitive but I still play with quite a few people in E8 at times and it's always fun.
Throw away your mouse and up your sensitivity and use a touchpad. It'll bring more challenge to the game suko I promise! I'm maintaining a 1.83 KDR and i'm 2 years using touchpad x)
Besides.....................Crossfire has mutation mode. I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee mutation mode! -

There isn't a point in toning my ego down, nor being nice to people. Everyone likes to gang up and 'troll' me, I got used to it and I don't care in the least.
Also I've never been bad at crossfire, but whenever I do good, it's always "CHEATS".
Let me rephrase the title, Why do you still play this game, over other FPS games? Lately I've been playing a few other games, with communites who aren't constantly bashing on everyone. Yeah I know I used to bash everyone, and I still will if it's funny.. But other communites seems to more.. tight-knit? Sure there will be arguments and everything, but nothing like CF. People actually get along with each other and don't usually worry about other player's lives all the time.

People who think the community needs to improve and better themselves in order for the game to move forward are hilarious. If sponsors took the community of the game they support into account before they make a decision on whether or not to support them, most if not all games would have no financial backing what so ever. So for all the hippies (zzxq, saint) get it through your skull that the community means nothing in terms of making this game as good as it can be.

only a properly managed league can demonstrate to other sponsors that this game is fully capable of becoming a competitor in the FPS area, frankly I don't see that any time soon unless you took a group of veteran players and someone like myself with strategic management skills, tactical planning, and financial literacy to run a league. -

Your example isn't valid as if you're rich and decide to live in the gutters, you always have the option to live a lavish lifestyle. Most if not all of the top teams who play this game can't play any other game at a top level so it's not like they have many other options. -

No it is valid.
If you play crossfire for it's competitive aspects only, and to be the best.. Your effort and time is in the wrong place. This game was fun, used to be, and that's the only reason I played it. Same with a bunch of other people.

I play this Game every Day because i like the Ranking System and i love to level up and i love the Zombie Mode and Mutation Mode and Hero Mode / HMX.
The Community here is average, but okay for me. The most time of the Day i have very much fun to play this Game Cross Fire! -
