LAN ETS Denies Crossfire.

After getting more votes than any other game, Crossfire was still denied from the LAN ETS tournament list.

    Didn't surprise me tbh
  • Pretty sad to know that ;( I kinda think that crossfire deserves a change
  • Their excuse what that many of the votes were traced back out of Canada. Mainly US, but some from the UK, SA, etc. The likely hood that the people who voted would go was very slim.

this game is dead. no1 want to support o sponsor it! GG CSGO FTW
  • Not surprised.

I bet you an ETS admin came on the forums and saw the giveaway thread for people who voted.
lets be real, there will be 2 or 3x more csgo teams than crossfire teams there

Just curious. What is the reasoning behind that? What is stopping CF from doing the same thing?
  • CSGO deserves it more. Regardless, it would be nice to see both games at lan.

Whats the reasoning behind what? CF not having enough teams there?

.......the people just voted for a prize, not to actually participate in the lan...
  • loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

rip dreams of cf pubstars and wannabe pros ahaha
  • this game is dead. no1 want to support o sponsor it! GG CSGO FTW

    That's actually untrue.

We've been trying to reach out from a publisher level but have not been able to get in contact with anyone who runs things over there from a professional level.

While that doesn't say we're jumping out to sponsor, we were certainly on board with discussions towards that goal.
  • lmao f*cking fat ass canadian look like. OMG cf players look like shjt compare to other game lmaooooooooooo

what does his looks have anything to do with anything that pertains to anything within these forums (competitive section)? i don't know what is worse, being unable to stay relevant on a topic because of your lack of cognitive skills or being fat, probably being retarded, because it's a lot easier to change being fat than being mentally challenged.
  • Thank god, its a joke that crossfire received so many votes in the first place.
  • You know I read through a lot of these comments and I yet to understand why people complain WHY CF doesn't have LANS etc...

To be quite honest, people say they want these tournaments etc... But man you've gotta have people who are willing to do something about it. Most people just sit and whine. Action is what makes things like this happen. Yes, I offered a raffle for votes but it wasn't just to get the votes, it was also to promote that their are other competitions outside of ESG, OCG, WCG, & CF Stars. People like to see these competitions happen and it helps stir some interest in some non competitive players. That was the hope of the raffle. Not just to get the vote. People actually had to go on the website, read what was going on, and vote. It just wasn't click and bam raffle.

true i could be #1 twice.

Can you stop attempting to troll like you're half decent at counter strike because the extent of your counter strike career is matchmaking at a dmg level. You're also terrible at crossfire.

Maybe you should work on ACTUALLY caring and wanting to fix the game before you worry about a silly sponsor. Stop running the cheating websites to make money and make this version like the other ones. This has to be the worst year for cheating I mean you go in a game and theres like 5 people just shooting you through walls with shotguns.. Come on and wake up. You are the reason this game won't pick up on any sponsors radar because of how you run it so terribly.

Umm, what? Conspiracy theorist is in the house.

It's simple. I applaud David's efforts, but I'm sure they realized more people voted for a prize than people who would actually attend the event. The turnout would probably have been minimal compared to the people who voted.

    They probably played the game.

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

    yea they probably did.
  • Not surprised since most people voted for the prize.
  • Hello,
Crossfire is not one of the selected PC tournaments this year for many reasons.
First, Crossfire had 195 votes in the poll we did. Sadly, like many games in the past, only 25% of those votes were valid. About 60% of the votes came from Egypt, Sweden, China and Brasil. Also, 15% of the votes were duplicate accounts. In the end, only 50 votes are from North America and it is not enough interested people to add this tournament.
We have been supporting WCG Canada for many years and the Crossfire Finals only had 4 teams in 2012 at Complexe Desjardins in Montreal and 2 teams this year in Montreal. Even if we wanted to ignore the poll results, we can't figure out how we will have more than 4 teams at Lan ETS 2014 if Crossfire was not able to attract more than 4 teams when a paid trip to China and the chance to represent Canada was on the line at WCG Canada Finals.
The best way to promote your community around North America is not to hold small events with only Crossfire teams, but to attend many LAN Party even if Crossfire is not an official tournament. This way, the event organizers will be more incline to the idea of adding Crossfire in the future when they can see the community with their own eyes.
When we decide to add a new tournament we never had before at Lan ETS, we do it because the community show us their commitment in the past. For example, League of Legends had no tournament at Lan ETS 2011 and they were over 20 teams just playing for fun at the event. We did a non-official tournament for them and give many material prizes. In 2012, LoL was added and the game is still here today. The same thing happened with Dota 2.
We still hope to see you at Lan ETS 2014 to enjoy the LAN Party atmosphere with all the gamers.

    Thanks,
    - The Lan ETS Team
