How to become a better player

Hey there, Spekk here. I have decided to write down a couple of things to increase your gaming skills by a lot. Lets get started!

The Golden 3:
-Control
-Research
-7th Sense (Gamesense)

Control: Good control means everything in a scrim. Control is everything from flick control, clutch control, game mechanics map control and sensitivity, and they all rely on each other. For example: A good flick requires good control over your sensitivity.
Clutch control requires good Map control and confidence.

Increasing your map control is probably the best place to get started. Watch shoutcasts on Youtube, ask people for some tips and tricks, learn grenade spots using the replay mode, learn to use the walls to be able to keep your crosshairs on head level independent on angle. All these things matters, and they matter a lot.

You should then do some research on mouse sensitivity. To be able to get a really good sensitivity I suggest getting a gamer mouse with driver settings, allowing you to change DPI and Polling rate. My mouse is probably my best weapon, because it grants me some bonuses when it comes to control. I use this formula when finding my DpI: 800x600(res) : 2 =
400x300 = x400 DpI, y300 DpI. For Crossfire, never use mouse acceleration. A good sensitivity is a sensitivity that you can rely on. Most people find using a sensitivity allowing them to do a 180 flick in one swipe the best one, which I do not disagree about. Another thing may be mixing things up. Lower sens = Better accuracy and aim, higher sens = Able to flick faster and look behind you and in corners faster. If you are using 400 dpi, these are the stages for low, medium and high sens. Low: 0-3, Medium= 8-10, High = 11-14.

Now game mechanics. I cant explain enough how important knowing the game mechanics is. Analyze your guns spray pattern, restart time of your recoil and spray, how accurate your gun is shooting while walking etc etc. Learning this is VERY IMPORTANT. I have used the m4 for 4 years now, and I got a couple of examples for you, to give you a start. M4s sprays goes like a T or 7 75% of the time. You get around 75% accuracy shooting while walking, while the ak is around 85%. The restart time of the recoil is 0.3 seconds. Now, more game mechanics. Learn how to double jump, learn how to triple jump, learn how to asian walk, learn how to spray, learn how to wallbang, learn how to use sound, find out how much time you got to defuse the bomb after its been planted. Everything matters.

Now research: Research is important if your looking for advancing yourself as a player. Watch videos, buy lessons, make strats, analyze matches, find out what no one else knows yet. Find new team members, look how people play, spectate matches. I got one rule that I have for myself everyday, and that is teaching something new everyday. By looking in depth of what people would not be arsed reading or looking at, you will find out new stuff which can be game-changing at later.

And last but not least, Gamesense. Good gamesense basically means that you knows where the enemy is without seeing him or hearing him. For example: you play 3 people on B site, 1 mid, 1 A. Where would the enemy push after knowing where you all play? A of course. So why not just stack A for the push? This is gamesense in a basic way. Practise outplaying someone by using sounds. Try to get behind him without him knowing it. After doing this, you should have automatically analyzed the enemy without even knowing it, allowing you to do the exact same even without sound

Feel free to post anything below and I welcome any questions about how to become a better player.
