I always laugh reading through this section of the forum. It's amazing how off topic people get... HAHA but I'm not sure if Purvis is going to be able to hold another LAN without some other means of financial support.

Well, as long as your a hell of a lot more prepared than you were at FG... maybe then you could run a lan by yourself, instead of having Delaco and Zzxq save your ass.. Be nice to have a lan. Im going simply for the bball tourny. Put me on pist0la's team. i want to win.

Sounds like it may have been a little premature in announcing "confirmed"? Having a concept on the board is not the same as finalizing talks with the relevant people for locations, sponsors, accommodations, catering, etc.

In any case, this should have been titled: Discussion about possible 2014 North American LAN.

JP, why not give at least a teaser of what you were thinking concerning this LAN. What locations did you have in mind? How many people were you thinking may be showing up?


I only ask just to continue to promote discussion on this thread to its relevant topic.

why release info about sumthin your not even a part of? if the involved parties wanted to confirm the event they wouldve done so

building hype is 1 thing but dont confirm s*** when you arent even part of the planning

There seems to be quite a bit of fluff in this thread.

We have seen some rumors of a possible gamer-created LAN and if it's in the cards for us to get involved we will do our best to support it.

As far as any other CF LAN specific event, nothing has been confirmed or organized at this point for 2014. However if this specific fact changes we'll definitely be making announcements about it.

The rest of these kinds of gamer-confirmed information are purely speculation and rumor and should be treated as such.

It's much easier to think of the situation as "There are no official CF LANs planned until an official source announces them." That way no one has false information, no one's expectations becomes too high, and no one is put in a position to further hurt their business relationships.
