I feel like you could add some abstract shapes or designs in the background. I feel like the shading of red could be changed. Like make it a bit more complex and vexing. Make the background colors and the word colors compliment so they contrast. Swag

Concept is great, but it could use fine tuning. -
When using Icons for logos, if you DO NOT own the rights to the icon you can get lawyered. The thing with graphic design...that people don't understand is that YOU CAN get in legal trouble for this thing called stealing. I know this generation doesn't understand that concept, you can get in trouble for using a font without paying for the license unless it's a free font.

While the off-topic discussion is actually valid and I'm loathe to get rid of it, it really doesn't belong here. Feel free to make a new thread and continue it in the off-topic section, or through PMs.
If you want me to PM you a deleted post to use as reference, send me a PM. -
Might as well chime in here with some pointers.
Square logo's work best. In the past, places like CF Stars and WCG have had names on flags, so some sort of aspect ratio that would look good on a flag works best. IE avoid extreme horizontal and extreme vertical.
Also, vector logo's work best too so they can be sized up.
Your name will likely always be included with your logo, so it's not always necessary to include your name AS your logo. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just something to consider.
Good luck with the logo hunt! You guys need something iconic to represent yourselves and to show to the world you're here to stay and compete and rep USA and our version of CF! -

Thanks for the insight, I'm looking forward to getting ourselves something great! =D -

Everything is pretty much vector these days or rendered to be in vector. When I work I don't always create things from scratch in Illustrator opting to work on paper > photoshop and sometimes other programs then finishing the rest in illustrator.
I like creating iconic logos with inspiration from like the 60-80s style logos before everything got too too flashy. The logos one the CF stars page are pretty cool and brand worthy.
And perhaps I'm too serious when it comes to anything relating with art or design but even doing a job for a gaming team IS exposure...you do a logo for a good team...that logo is going to end up in China...on products...and shown on the internet around the world so to say "it's just a crossfire team logo" is underrating the value of it.
