Why did they stop making permanent hat crates (Santa, Witch Hat, & Pumpkin)?

P.S. I know they were for limited time only but I want perm hat, too.

I bought 600ish hat crates and still got a few

You won't win much from it. I only won one witch hat and the santa one

Lucky, I was young back then, I didn't care about it.

I would like to have a permanent hat too, especially the Santa one (just didn't have enough GP to win one back then). Too bad they took the fact that you can't win more than one without it getting confiscated (similiar to winning two of the same char from tickets) as a reason to entirely remove the hats. Which ironically came back the following year as GP (or ZP) temps.

Because the character's appearance alone isn't enough, and yes I was around that age area.

These hat crates will never come back. They removed them entirely when people started to complain that every second hat of a kind was confiscated (similiar to every 7th copy of a gun) instead of being usable for other characters. They then switched to making the hats temp items for ZP/GP.
I'm convinced this will stay the same this year.

^^ this is why we can't have nice things. Z8 gives us something (hats, small tokens for helping out, flags, military intel...) We complain or screw it up. They remove it.
