Crossfire 2014 LAN?
I have heard rumors going around that some form of Open LAN will take place in 2014 and had some questions regarding LANs in CF for the future.
- Is there actually any current plan from z8 or not to have a CF LAN in 2014? whether it be for CF stars or something like FG Lan?
- Does z8 plan on contributing funds and resources for any league / group looking to host open lans?
- Does the community at large have the willingness to go to LANs?
- What Kind of prize threshold motivates you personally to go to a LAN?
- What are the top 3 Locations in North America for a CF LAN in your opinion?
- How many LANs have you been to ? How many for CF? What LAN did you find to be most successful and why?
- Do you think CF Stars and WCG will continue annually and if so for how long?
- Do you think our competitive player base has any potential to grow?
- Why do you think CF has a very high player base for CFNA but a minimal competitive scene?
Sorry to bother with questions just interested in community responses.

For canada , it should be in toronto and montreal , where most crossfire players are in canada .
Yes they should establish lan tournaments more often to encourage players to comeback/to start again .
Good players leave cause of hackers , lack of tournaments with AC , and the number one reason , EGO
but if we establish lans, our competitive community will surely grow . but thats all my opinion -

I would go provided I have time that weekend
- What Kind of prize threshold motivates you personally to go to a LAN?
The bigger the better
- What are the top 3 Locations in North America for a CF LAN in your opinion?
Hate to say it, but Chicago, NYC, and Toronto
- Do you think CF Stars and WCG will continue annually and if so for how long?
Def a while.
- Do you think our competitive player base has any potential to grow?
Yes

Look at the player locations -

More than likely, CF will continue to grow

That would be an awesome idea but hard to make work, however I would only participate in an event if it was actually ran by people who have been around CF for several years so they were somewhat "knowledgeable" and the AC wasn't broken

The majority of players I believe are in the US so finding a mid-point from Canada and USA which would be central US, I believe more people would be willing to go

The opportunity to win a free weapon of choice, thats the greatest prize in-game, other than that cash but never know
- What are the top 3 Locations in North America for a CF LAN in your opinion?
Chicago, NYC, Toronto yeah
- How many LANs have you been to ? How many for CF? What LAN did you find to be most successful and why?
Well while I was taking a 8 month break from CF November 2012 - July 2013 I played COD: BO2 for MLG and their LANS were funded by major corporations so it's no surprise the LAN was stacked but for CF I have yet to attend a LAN which I plan on doing, sounds like fun though
- Do you think CF Stars and WCG will continue annually and if so for how long?
WCG, yes CF Stars, not sure
- Do you think our competitive player base has any potential to grow?
I think yes, but the question is, is their enough people that want to grow to actually have a committed competitive community?
- Why do you think CF has a very high player base for CFNA but a minimal competitive scene?
Because it's a F2P FPS on PC, most people just play for fun and don't plan on taking the game as serious as others
