does keyboard affect you guys

building a new pc and since i played on a laptop to date, i dont know how keyboards affect your gameplay

no, a keyboard does not make the player, just don't get junk but don't get something stupidly expensive. just get something that feels comfortable for you.

Really all personal preferance. Some will tell ya OMG IT MAKES ME PRO. Then you have the common user that is just as good with the basics. Really its all what YOU want. After I purchased my Mechanical Keyboard I can say now I will NEVER go back to a regular board again.

oh i understand that, but the same thing is said about mice.
once i switched to a sensei i wouldnt go back to a reg mouse

The keyboard doesnt affect my gameplay but the mouse does.

The only thing a keyboard that can give an advantage to players is having an anti-ghosting keyboard.
On some computers I can't press tab and jump at the same time, can't press tab and press my talking button at the same. pretty basic stuff like that

Keyboard is very important for me only because of my stump. If the arrow keys are jammed with other keys or to far away my stump cant mash them properly.

Keyboard heavily affected my gameplay once one of the most important keys, the "D" key, wasn't working on my razer cyclosa. I had to change my keyboard and it is horrible. When I go left or right sometimes it would continue to go even when I let go even by a little. The way I like to play is with extremely small peeks so it throws off my gameplay to an extreme point. Also don't even think about getting a wireless keyboard. Just take your mind off all wireless accessories when talking about gaming.

I play on a $2 keyboard I found at a garage sale with no brand name on it, lol. I just liked how the keys were very thin xD
