Anyone up for a database for Competitive?

I saw all the summed up player threads and figured, if people show interest I would make a site with all player bios / team bios and keep them up to date, and itd be a good way to see people who are LFT and what history they have. On top of the that I could add player experiences / achievements and noted accomplishments.

If you are interested in you or your team having a database let me know and Im going to be working on it if people express interest in this.

we kinda already have a forum section for that :S

They dont show team history / player bios / acheivements / Team bios

I think it sounds good, it's just going to be hard in my opinion. If you have the time to do it, then it is a different story. This will probably be very time consuming.

Maybe.

But it could be less time consuming if it was based on user-input.

Make a simple site where users can create accounts/log-in, and tie a USN to their account. Then have the site rip the IGN tied to that USN from Z8's clan database.

Then you could either have the site rip the players Clan Name from their profile page, OR you could allow for players to create teams and update members and whatnot by them self. That would allow for users to account for a large portion of the work, the only remaining stuff is moderation.

Similar, but not the same idea I think OP had in mind. Ryangi's was just like an player summary hub, this seems to be more focused on the current status of players and teams.

Those who are interested will provide information such as past teams, and anything else they want listen under their bio. All the rest such as player, and team write ups will be handled by the person who is running this sh-bang

This idea would have to involve more than just a couple of people, get a group to work on it (probably players that have been around since the beginning), other than that sounds like a good idea
