You also have to take into account that there were likely thousands of entries in both sc2 and LOL which most likely contributed to a total prize pool for the lan as a whole

Thousand is an overstatement by far. LoL had like 20 ish teams because they have bigger events going on at the same time. And Sc2 had around 100.

Most likely, probably more than 80% of it is for the trip. Canada will be sending like at least 28 people from all games.
