internet speed doesn't mean much for ping. It's pretty much the time it takes for a info to be sent to a server and get back to you. So maybe its where you live that makes you have a big ping.

He's in LA, I'm in LA. His down/up is better than mine and I get ~84 ping.

i live in bloomfield, one of the richest areas in the state let alone the country. father is old fashioned and won't upgrade to wifi or switch to a better dsl plan even though he is paying out of the ass for this internet.

Reminds me of when UK server first came out and they set the routing path to come all the way to the Toronto servers then back out to the UK netting people in the UK close to 150 ping.

I laughed.
