All you need to know about the Friend Point system!
Attention Mercenaries,
In the August Update there will be a new Friend Point system to the game! What are friend points you ask? Well, they are a way for you to play with new players and earn awesome bonuses and prizes!
Read below for all the information.
Friend Point System
Friend Points are earned by having new players nominate YOU to be their buddy or mentor within the game.
Once a new player nominates you and they start playing the game, you start earning friend points. You can then cash in Friend Points for exclusive Blue Crystal weapons from the FP mall section of the game.
In addition there are benefits to both players just for nominating!
Brand New Players who name their veteran mentors will receive bonus EXP, GP and weapons.
Veteran Players who have been nominated by new players receive Friend Points, EXP and Weapons!
As the new player ranks up both players will receive bonuses as well!
And once you have your new friends nominate you, when you play together you gain bonus EXP!
FAQ
1. How do I earn friend points?
You earn friend points by having new accounts (Ranked under Second Lieutenant 1) name you as their buddy/mentor and then have those new players play games and rank up.
2. How many friends can I nominate?
As a new player, you can only nominate 1 friend. This nomination is final so be sure to make the right decision.
As a veteran player (any account created prior to August 14th, and any account (new or old) higher than Lieutenant 1 after August 14th) you cannot nominate friends.
Only new players can nominate other people within the game.
3. How many friends can nominate me?
There is no current limit on the number of new players which can name you for their friend.
If you want to earn the most amount of FP be sure to seek out all the new players and get them to nominate you! Or tell all your friends to come play CrossFire and nominate you as their buddy!
4. What else can friend points be used for?
Nothing, FP is only for this system between veterans and new soldiers. They cannot be exchanged, or traded for other items or points.
5. What about players who can't make new accounts?
If you already have an account you have to find new people to nominate YOU. This is the point of the system, so that you are meeting new people and seeing if they want to nominate you so you both can get rewards. You need to seek out new friends and new players to play with and convince them to nominate you.
6. Are the weapons temporary or permanent?
The blue crystal weapons and rewards from the Friend Point system are temporary.
Over time we'll update this FAQ with more information, and stay tuned for the Infernal Dragon update which includes this new Friend System on August 14th, 2013!

What happens if someone was to nominate themselves with an alt account. Then proceed to farm it up for Friend Points. Is there a system in place to stop this kind of behavior?
Currently there are restrictions for the number of accounts a single computer can make on a timed basis.
The average player would have to spend double the amount of time in game (to level up their new alternate, plus continue to play on their main in order to use the items). And they would have to do this over multiple new accounts.
Currently the only thing getting in your way from doing this is the physical time you want to invest in it. -

USEFULL for Turkish and Egypt Players... Yay, now we see HACCERS with a free Gatling Gun....
Really. Z8games, HOW LOW CAN U GO ????
Yet I see you on other websites asking how to cheat and how x-trap autoban works because you don't want to get caught.
Little tip; don't use the same avatar there, stop trying to sell your account and asking for price checks. Makes it much more eaiser to find out who you are, oggman382. -
In my honest personal opinion;
You guys are just finding ways to make the game work slower on lower preformance machines, we don't really need this update. I'm sure you guys don't know what it feels like to use a computer that is taking up 97% physical ram just by loading the game alone.
Because of the reason above I am forced to upgrade the pc or I cannot enjoy the game. Please dedicate one whole patch to improving the games preformance. I've already seen chinese files, images and unused icons that are lieing around in the UI folder. I can't imagine how much junk is in the .rez files.
Thanks for reading this. -

But why would you be on the websites...? (Assuming they are hack promoting websites)
Anyways lets not get this off topic. By the way, how does a Gatling help a cheater? A cheater will still be a cheater one way or another, with or without a certain gun. -

So you're pretty much saying they would waste several hours just to use a Gatling for a few minutes? All right okay, seems reasonable. -

FrozenSyther wrote: »Judging by the other versions, no, they are not permanent.
Well, according to the other versions, I think they are permanent. Because watch this video about the Point Shop of Crossfire Philippines, it doesn't say 7 days or something.
