Dear Forum Management
A Shoutbox for this forum is basically a place where you talk to each other in a group with Shoutbox mods and mods watching over
This will give people something to do
To prevent spammers
People must have 75+ posts to SEE the Shoutbox.

Shoutboxing is nice. we got one on charon`s forum. Although I doubt a box on here would be fun. I see spam, I see hackusations, I see inappropriate links..

So people will spam the forum threads to be able to spam the shoutbox? Oh god no.

Mods aren't machines, they can't possibly watch over the shoutbox 24/7, even if you double their number.

Shoutboxes tend to make the forums look really ugly. It is also just not feasible to moderate with the current forum board and moderator powers.

It's possible when we receive the vB 4 upgrade, but currently it's not something we can really moderate easily. If you would like to chat with fellow people the Official IRC is still up and running (as well as auto-moderated). If you don't like keeping a browser open, there are numerous clients to use. I suggest mIRC personally, but there are numerous more. IRC also allows for things like games, a bot to look up your stats on, and more.

The official IRC is also more lenient because we can talk about more things, and with less harsh rules.

My signature has a link to the gamesurge web irc for it. Otherwise the info is irc.gamesurge.net is the server and the channel is #CrossFire

I need to fix my mIRC so I'm not on right now, but whenever my laptop is on, I'm idle on it.

There will be a guide soon, but as of the moment I'm busy putting everything together for college. Adam's guide might still be on the forums somewhere.

Well I found the outdated admin's guide from Adam xD. Only because an infraction is a quick guide to it xD.

Like I said. It's not that simple with all the issues we have. And it still isn't feasible to moderate even so.

And invite people, then maybe you'll see more.

An official reboot with an instruction thread will happen soon enough which will probably help reboot the IRC, it used to be pretty damn popular.

I want something to talk to forumers

Someone should make a forumers radical since its good for chat and typing
