  • I find it funny when someone tells me that I'm going to hell... My response, "You can't tell an atheist they're going to hell.. It just doesn't work like that."

let's break this down for you

"You're so dumb that you don't realize how I was able to conclude that you're dumb. Cute. "

personal attack with little or no evidence or even the slight bit of reasoning

"My (accurate) description of you as a moron isn't based on your 'faith,' just your intelligence, or rather lack thereof. When I say you're a moron, I mean you, specifically, not everyone who happens to have some sort of religious conviction."

accurate? please back it up, you're the only one here who has shown a lack of intelligence similar to a barbaric individual with no ability to reason or comprehend. let alone, have a organized/respectable debate without using slander and illogical/unsupported evidence to support any of your statements. sorry my friend, you're the moron but please continue. it's entertaining to watch idiots chase their tails. please respond with something actually coherent and not backed by anger and bias. bring facts, logic, and reasoning to the table, not your intolerance. it isn't a difficult concept, maybe for an individual like yourself who is stuck in the state of the "Sahelanthropus."

Lol. Too much stupidity for me to cover everything, but I guess since your jimmies are so rustled I should give you somewhat of a breakdown, huh?

Let's go back to your first post about Zacharias/Hawking. You said Ravi Z. put 'scientist/atheist' [sic] in their places. You act as if science and atheism are interchangeable while science and religion are incompatible. Your post about scientific and religious figures putting each other in their places is in itself absurd. You realize that many of the world's most important scientists, past and present, are religious, right?

You say I have no evidence for calling you a moron. Then should I call you misinformed or simply uninformed? Then you generalize 'atheist logic' (though you had--in your words--'little to no evidence' if I were an atheist). You continually bring religion into the mix when religion has nothing to do with you being a moron.

You make generalizations about groups of people, whereas you don't see me spewing bullsht like 'oh Christians this, Christians that.' The most ironic part is that you condemn 'atheist logic,' yet continually reaffirm the conflict thesis first propagated by the old farts from Cornell, who were--oh yeah--ATHEISTS.

Hm, let's see. You denounce my calling you a moron as an ad hominem attack (duh), but now you're so butt hurt that you've stepped off your high horse to call me names, too? Lol.

    Your jimmies status:

    [ ] slightly rustled
    [ ] moderately rustled
    [ ] extremely rustled
    [X] Russell Crowe

This is especially evident when you tried to upgrade your elementary school diction to multisyllabic words in your last post. What a pathetic attempt at throwing words you don't understand into poorly structured sentences. You're a moron and I truly wonder how you breathe without assistance. Boy, am I glad that most religious observers, like all people, are reasonable individuals instead of complete cretins like you.

If you follow religion to the full yes! Unlike the bible, the Quran is memorized since it was first revealed and so it has never been changed AT ALL! We follow the Qur'an and our prophet.

I sound brainwashed lol. But I did type this. Islam BTW is not a terrorist religion or cult. Its just idiots watching the O'reilly factor.
  • I'm Atheist but I find religions to be interesting. I do not believe that a Heaven, Hell or any afterlife at all exists, but if I was to picture Heaven, it'd probably be something like how the Garden of Eden was described. A "paradise" with rivers and lots of beautiful nature. When I think of Hell, I picture brimstone, flames everywhere, people being tortured and/or being held captive. I wish these places were real. Eternal pain seems pretty sweet ;D

    edit:

    I am disappointed.

I came in here expecting to read about Black Sabbath or Dio.

Instead I get something that might eventually end up being closed seeing the way it's going so far.

    Same actually.

    Where to start?

"Let's go back to your first post about Zacharias/Hawking. You said Ravi Z. put 'scientist/atheist' [sic] in their places. This is exactly what I meant, by put in their place, I mean science debating science, and religion debating religion. Not interchangeably, if you look at a lot of modern science, what is presented to us as FACT is often not fact at all. Just mere speculation and more philosophically backed than anything. Yet, scientist push their agenda of disproving religions using this "unscientifically backed science" (oh the hypocrisy). But this goes both ways, you see religious people trying to disprove scientific data that often backed by numerous amounts of evidence. There is a clear line between the two and i personally see religion as the "why" and science as the "how."

    but keep in mind

"Science and religion are about fundamentally different things. No religion has ever been rendered obsolete by facts or observations, but this happens to most scientific theories, at least in the long run. "

I am not going to respond to the rest because it unarguably more butt hurt remarks backed by nothing but pure butt oozing pain. I'm here debate whatever is worthy to be debated but whether your personal attacks are valid or not is not something worth debating. Frankly, like I said, they aren't backed by anything but your anger.
  • I think many people see heaven and hell in a completely different way to others but this is how I see both of them, I am not religious but just wanted to share my opinion.

First of all, as for heaven, I see it as when people enter, they meet their friends and family and get to live there dreams to the full and choose what they want to do it.

Now as for hell, I see it as a punishment chamber where people who did bad in their lives enter and receives punishment, torcher or maybe worse.

I was always curious what happens when you die but I never believe in a hell but I see more of a heaven as a resting place for the people that passed away.

I watch too much TV :)

For one, ever heard of natural theology? Religion and science were not always so separated, but rather worked hand in hand. Again, your conflict thesis was introduced by two old atheists in the late nineteenth century. Look it up, because your knowledge of history is just horribly lacking.

Secondly, that quote provides an awful analogy. You're comparing scientific theories to religion in general, which is preposterous. If anything it would be more apt to compare scientific theories with religious norms and interpretations, which do change and replace each other. Off the top of my head, Councils of Nicaea, anyone? Science builds upon itself and religion evolves, too (pardon the pun), or else there wouldn't be different versions of religious tomes. Things people might have once deemed 'unacceptable' according to the Bible are deemed acceptable today.

You're not going to respond to the rest because it's obvious how difficult of a struggle it is for you to even string a sentence together. You're right that my calling you a moron is not worth debating, because my point is self-apparent. You validate it by continuing to post while I take intellectual dumps on you without any effort whatsoever. What you choose to think of as 'anger' is just me pointing out the obvious. Why would I be angry that you're feeble-minded? I merely humiliate you for public entertainment. Don't flatter yourself.
