So I bought a new PC...

I recently bought a new gaming PC. This will be a big change for my considering I have to play most games on 800x600 with low settings to get 60 FPS. I paid around $1300 for this computer. I might update this thread with pictures once its shipped to my house. Here are the specs:

CPU:
Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40 GHz 6MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1150
Motherboard:
GIGABYTE Z87X-D3H
GPU:
AMD Radeon HD 7870 2 GB
PSU:
1,000 Watts Cooler Master Silent Pro M 80
RAM:
8 GB DDR3/1600MHz
SSD:
Corsair Neutron 120 GB
HD:
1 TB Western Digital
Asetek 510LC Liquid Cooling System
Windows 7 OS

Just thought I'd share even though most people probably don't care. It should run games like Bioshock Infinite, Far Cry 3, Battlefield 3, Crysis 3, etc on Medium to High settings on 1920x1280 resolution. Not sure what I'll get on CrossFire.

  • Should run most things out on Max. Since your pushing just a single monitor. ;)
  • Wait are you going to build it? or did you get it from like Cyberpower...
Tell you right now Building it is alot more fun. But yea Nice specs. Should be able to run everygame 1080p.
You will max Crossfire out. I hope you play more games then CF because you dont need a good computer to play this game. Back in my day 20-30FPS on crossfire for 2 years. Now adays everyone complain's if they get 50 or 60 its to low.

I actually ordered it from CyberPowerPC. Good guess. It's a lot easier to choose your parts, pay, and get in the mail 2-3 weeks later. Plus you get a 3 year warranty and lifetime support. I heard in some cases it is a little bit cheaper with CyberPowerPC but I don't have any evidence to back that up. I will maybe build my next PC though. I do agree it looks a lot more fun and rewarding if you build it yourself, but I didn't feel very comfortable with doing that. I have watched multiple videos on people building PC's and if push came to shove I think I could do it, but I didn't want to take that chance.

I can't tell you how much I am waiting for this PC. I've been checking the order status page every 30 minutes for the past week. For maybe the past 7-8 years I've had to deal with having terrible computers. My first computer that I ever had is like a dinosaur to the one I will be getting soon. It had 512 MBs of ram and like 64 GB of hard drive space. It was unable to run free to plays on 800x600 low settings. The one I have now isn't bad but I definitely need something a lot better. Knowing that I'll be running games like Crysis 3 and Battlefield 3 makes me have goosebumps.
