The combination of the 3570k, which you can overclock if you so desire, and the 7970 will get you great fps in almost every single game. The monitor can go up to 144hz for more seeable frames. The Define R4 is a quiet and good looking case. To compliment the Define R4s purpose of quietness is the Noctua NH-C12P. Noctua is known for making very quiet coolers and fans while not sacrificing performance. Have fun with your new computer and I hope I win. -

A high refresh rate isn't always better since the only panels capable of that display colors badly just my opinion. The GTX 760 will max out almost all DX11 games in 1080p today as well as give you the option for using 3D vision with the monitor which AMD does not support and offers the best value/bang for buck. 3570K and 212 Evo will allow for mild overclocks at around 4.4 GHz if you're lucky. The SSD and HDD will give great overall system responsiveness if you have windows and apps on the SSD and media on the HDD. The Arc Midi R2 has a minimalist design as well as silence and lots of airflow. The GS600 gives enough wattage for upgrades and is sold by a decent company. If you downgrade the 3570K to just a 3570 the farthest you would be able to OC is 4.2 GHz but its slightly cheaper. -

not a build but hey... In case you want to just by-pass all that built stuff..
Enough in the budget for a monitor (though not a high priced one)
