2014 CrossFire LAN Discussion
Yes you're reading this right, this is an announcement that another CF LAN is in the making.
I have grown to love helping out the CF Community especially the competitive scene. Now I know that I'm not an expert at these type of things but someone has to get things rolling.
I see that it is almost impossible to have an organized LAN with a decent Prize Pool in 2013 (besides WCG). So lets take some time and build up on things.
No specific DATE nor LOCATION has been determined yet
Modes - SnD and Ghost Mode
As of right now the 2014 CF LAN will mostly be funded by "US" the Community. That being Prizes, Venue, hotels, food, staff, etc. I have been working for a few months to get sponsors involved but about 95% of the sponsors have never heard of CF which is making it really hard to get funds and items.
So the 2014 CrossFire LAN is going to need the help of the community. Just to recap the previous CF LAN "Frost Gaming LAN" was all made possible by community members. Funds for the FG LAN came from me, Chase, FG Jon, and Z8. Extra help came from Delaco, [GM]Saidin, Erick, David and many more. (if I'm forgetting anyone I sincerely apologize).
This LAN will most likely be the same but with BETTER planning, BETTER PRIZES, and MORE fun.
There will be a DONATION account made for anyone that is willing to help out and make this thing happen. I am currently donation $1200 that I have made from my online business Wake Up Now. This LAN will most likely be in the United States but nothing is out of the question.
But location will have to wait until there is some more funding for Venue and Prizes.

Rural NYC/NY or even New Jersey would be the best I think.
The East Coast is obviously flooded with players, and I think that would give you the biggest turnout.

As time goes on, it will become clearer on where the location for the LAN will be.
Right now we are just gaining Funds for the LAN.
