Hello Z8 Games!

Well, I wouldn't play e8 until you're a little more familiar with the game. It takes time to learn how everything works. Especially calling on maps/spots/etc.
The community for the most part is pretty nice. There's always a few trolls (I like to try to be funny lmao) but overall it's pretty nice -
Welcome
Echo 8 is where the competitive side of CF hangs out at. Can be used for Scrimming, Pugs, Ringing, and for Tournaments.
There are a couple of Competitive Tournaments taking place at the moment like 2013 Summer League and OCG. CFL/ESG will be coming back soon with a Tournament. -
Hiya! Myself and a few other people used to play SF way back.
Echo 8 is this game's Channel 10. The general rules are 5v5 SnD, 7 or 9 rounds halves. We don't normally do two maps like old SF scrims were.
Weapon restriction wise, you can find a list of what the current ruleset standard is right here: http://fglan.com/index.php/rules/ingame
Generally the rule of thumb is GP weapons only, however there are some of those that are also restricted. You'll most likely be told if you're using something that people have issue with :P -

Yup WCG is the next big Tournament for CF.
Infact the parent company of CF Smilegate just had their first season of CF Stars. All versions of CF had 1 team(6 from the host country China) to represent them. They at $177,000 in prizes with the 1st place them with $50,000(10K each player).
There will be a 2nd season next year. -

yeah i played sf some years ago, tried the new one it is most like A.V.A. but i very much enjoyed SF until i moved to CF when it was open beta -
I'd get familiar with the game first maybe playing public matches with random people in Alpha/Bravo server and when you feel a little more comfortable with the game, play in Alpha Server Channel 7. There will be lots of players who use ZP so it'll put up a challenge and when you're finally used to the game go in Echo 8.

I would skip playing Alpha 7, unless you want to be playing with 10 cheaters per room. -
Chinese people are pro -_-. I'm playing CFCN right now since I'm in China and it's impossible. Their aim 2stronk
You're telling me you spent 1800 U.S. dollar on a plane ticket, and you decide to play CF?? To top that you come on forums and tell how good everyone is in CFCN?? Loooooooooolllls -

1. I get free tickets to China.
2. I've been to China 29 times and I'm 14 2 months minimum each stay. I've already done everything I can. So CF is pretty much what I can do other than getting together with my friends.
3. Just proving snitch wrong.

Yes, there are Chinese teams that are amazing and better than everyone else in the world. Doesn't mean the off client warriors in our version don't cheat.
By the way I played CFCN yesterday and I was going 4.0 with 300 ping. The average player wasn't great -
