How bad am I?
The conversation below made me wonder how bad I actually am. I figured I would ask you all, since everyone has done a good job of keeping up on things. I believe having an accurate understanding of one's self is fundamental. So if possible please help me define what range of skill I am in. This is important to me, because I need to understand this before I make my WCG run this fall.
If I am such trash, why do people keep picking me up? Why can I keep placing in tournaments? I mean I've supposedly been washed up since 2010. All these nobodies keep saying I am nothing, yet none of you can place in any events. It is confusing to me, but I won't try to understand.

Here is a link to the ss from the CFGL qualifiers. I don't feel like tallying up everyone's stats, but just from glancing I performed about the same as everyone else.
As for the top teams considering me trash, I am a bit confused who the top teams are. Are there teams besides Carbon, HammerTime, and Kanata? I guess you could include Jeden, but they aren't very consistent and last I heard they had roster problems. All of those teams have players who are better, than me. I don't see the issue here. I've played on teams with nearly every player on those rosters, so I know what everyone is capable of and how they play.
You're right. Mechanical skill wise, there are plenty of players who are much better than me. However, when it comes to being an in game leader there's few I would consider my equals. I'm also pretty good at clutch situations. If by some chance I get my entry fragging ability back, and can perform like Jaime I am sure my team will cause some upsets this fall in the WCG qualifiers.Doing the worst on your team doesn't help. I might be mistaken though, didn't you say Americans call winning 1st place?
I would also like to add that I decided not to play for a team in the CFGL Qualifiers. But ya know, I probably wouldn't have made it far anyways, right?
Lets be honest, you act like you're still superior at this game, but in reality your're trash to many of the top teams. You've might of been considered good back then, however I find that you're nothing now.
If I were you I would stop bashing this pub clan and mind your own business.
Now please doop, stop wasting your time in this section and go back to the competitive scene where you can show everyone how good you are at this game.

Charlie, you have to admit when you're washed up man. I know it's hard to but lets face it your prime is nothing as compared to what you are now. Sure you lead LPK, represented USA and all but that was the past. The reason you still get picked up by these top teams is well this community is mostly left with average ~ below average players and there isn't much anymore. They recognize you for your old days but now theres nothing left.

all i can say is, if WCG LPK's aim was up to par with the current teams, we would've stomped everyone in the game and be doing very well against china just because of our counter-strike gamesense and our ability to adapt.
sucks we didn't play 24/7
and only reason I went to LPK was because of your leadership and charismatic personality
also, back when we played in 2010, everyone was just awful.. what happened was since we were so good and couldn't get better, we stayed the same(which is still above-avg), but everyone else got up to par with us skill-wise which is why we can't dominate like we used to
the only perks we have now is our game-sense which is better than 95% of the community
that Zillahhh kid is probably some sub-par player from this community anyway, no phucks given

You already know that i delved into this in the past lol. Imo you always made yourself out to be better than you were but as a leader(from scrimming with you a couple of times) you were decent so that kind of gives your aim some leeway. As for LPK i felt like they were a good team primarily because of one to two players standing out every time.(oz and minty) Idk how you play now and tbh i don't even play this anymore. I'd rather match-make in cs:go than play CF -
If you pay attention closely to the people who say your "washed up" and can't play anymore, they are people who haven't even made any recognition that they can do anything themselves. You are a great player and even if you don't play as often as you use to, the times I've scrimmed with you, you've done above average. If you wanted to, you could come back into the scene easily. Just need to find the right team! Best of luck and participate in WCG please

doop, you shouldn't care what this community thinks. None of the better players are calling you washed up (that I know of). Its only the scrim star morons. Look at all the people in this thread saying stuff, have they accomplished anything at all? Gonna go with no.
Make your team, do work, and just play.

2nd edit: i know people would say i flat out blow as well, but i guarantee if i came back and made a team with doop and some MORE washed up players, we would more than likely dominate every team out there, let's face it, most of you have sub par game sense and average shots -

People in this community don't understand player "roles" at all
From what i know you've been playing the ingame leader role/support player. It isn't your job to frag huge like some other players.
Very few people know about roles in this game. If you're an ingame leader/support player it isn't your job to frag as hard as the "fraggers" of your team. -
Back then, I'll admit it was scary to peek you. Ever since I've seen what happened when you guys scrimmed basic, http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ZzKMkWHGa8A#t=21s , it gave me the idea that anyone is beatable and I started playing with confidence. From my perspective, you play the same but, people get better.

From what I've seen, your aim started to downgrade after you guys won wcg 2011 online nationals tournament -- probably because you guys took a long break after winning the 1st online qualifier and thought you guys would represent USA if you guys practiced hard for 1-2 weeks.
Just get your aim back and play with people who aren't ******ed. Your in game leadership and overall intelligence with the game is within that top 5% from what I've seen/heard. Good luck! -

I do remember you from monoxide and I must say you really impressed me. I am in no manner above average and have never claimed to be super good. You did a great job calling for us. Sad we had to break up. HMU if you are going to make a team. By then I should have a fair bit more of practice and might be able to play with you. -
I don't understand why people are talking **** when you've performed in basically all the matches you've played in (except for the match against consensus in WOGL S1
). To my knowledge you always played a strat caller/leader role and always played with people who would do the heavy fragging for you and you still over performed in matches. -

No offence to doop, but when he was good,the level of skill wasn ot that high, there is a substantial diffrence in the competition from the first generation of crossfire to this one,so if you look at the skill of those players and you had the go against players from this era of players they wouldnt stand a morsel of a chance. Now back to the main issue about him being washed up, the guy doesnt play this game, so if he comes on and scrims and doesn't drop a 20 so what, he went to 2 of the the 4 LANs this game has had,and played well, 97% of the players in this game can never say otherwise.
I didn't read all of the post here but i thought I would put in my opinion since that is what this post is about.

Wishy washy doopy baby!
It's like this: can't come on every few weeks and expect to be dropping bombs like old times. You NEED a good shot to perform in this game and, sadly, shooting in cf is nothing like shooting in cs.
Pretty much in the same conundrum over here! Feel solace in the fact that you don't play like a ******.
