Mumble Problem

Whenever I attempt to talk when someone else is talking in mumble it echos their voice or when I listen to music they can hear as well.

I'm using ear buds and a mic plugged in on the side, I know other people who use a similar set-up who don't have this echoing problem with mumble and other VOIP'S.

Some help would be highly appreciated by not just me but everyone who I talk to as well, comment below or xfire me @ b4dal.

disable stereo mix:

see if that works. had a similar problem some time ago.

I don't seem to have Stereo Mix in there anywhere, I only have x1 microphone on and then another off. Then I have line in as well but that's off.

Try using vent and seeing if it's still an issue. That way you can determine whether it is mumble or whether it's you general sound settings.

odd. do you have this problem with other VOIP applications as well?
skype? vent?

also, check your microphone properties, listen tab, see if listen to this device is enabled. mumble can mix the input as the output on this one:


or check your mumble audio input configuration, mine is set up like this:


if you're still having this problem, try using another input jack, for example if you were using the rear panel then switch to the front panel, and vice versa.

It happens on skype and vent as well, I copied the settings you have Lobster and made sure that box wasn't checked. Its still happening for some reason >.< I tried using my headset and that doesn't work either.
