How to find hackers in SnD games
Hello, i am Auki, or as i am often called "hak nub". (though my kd sucks)
I will now show you my "way" of reviewing a replay.
If some of you are active in the EU Forums, well this is basically a copy/paste of my post there.
Hacker on the enemy team:
You can't really say if he is hacking, you don't have his perspective (we are NOT talking about the obvious case here, and by obvious i mean really obvoius)
You need someone who can watch him, so have a friend in the enemy team.
If you have no friend follow the Instructions for "Hacker on your team" when watching the replay.
Hacker on your team:
When some players start QQing about someone in your team, watch this guy when you die.(1st person ofc)
The thing you have to do now is: play as if you were him (don't press the keys, just think "What would i do?")
Now watch out for these points:
Acting or reacting:
Acting sounds strange, however it makes a difference if he is "acting" or reacting.
Now, lets assume we watch player A, who is a pro.
We are in 1st person following him, you see an enemy, and about 0.1 seconds later player A starts to aim at him
> he was REacting.
There is always a timespan from locating the enemy to aim at him
This timespan can be VERY short!!!!
This is an indicator for a pro/good player.
(NOTE: You don't have to see him, sometimes a nade or changing weapons is enough to locate him)
Now we watch player B, who is hacking.
As with player A we are following him.
You see him aiming across an edge, he continues and there appears an enemy in his scope (without any changes in speed)
This is acting
Acting = "Preparing" for a situation, the hacker knows where you are and has plenty of time to prepare
Re-acting = "Respond" to a situation, the good player knows you are there only if he locates you, and you will see this "time span", which i talked about
Important note: This is not always easy!
Obvious hiding places
Upstairs at Eagle Eyes B is NOT a good hiding place.
And the "killer crate" as i call it (between GR Base and A in Ankara) also isn't.
Why killer crate?
I am at A, i see you running to your base and follow you immediately, the ONLY place to hide in time is this crate!
I could continue this list, but this would be too much off topic.
Just look for those spots yourself and please don't hide there, if you get wallbanged there it proofs nothing.
Positioning
This is the most difficult one.
Positioning is very important, we all know Port A site is a fortress e.g.
So, the goal of good positioning is to be
As less vulnerable as possible!
Have as much vision as possible!
Positioning is now about finding the balance between those 2.
But what has this to do with detecting a hack?
Quite a lot.
If you know where your enemies are you will unwillingtly position yourself better than you would if you don't know.
That being said, sometimes wallhackers have ridiculus stupid positioning, they observe 1 entry, while being vulerable from 3.
The odds of getting shot when not hacking are too high.
You might say now:"You raise a valid point, however most of the CF players don't know how to position properly"
Which is true, however if someone goes 20-4 i guess he/she has an idea about positioning
Important note: Please consider point 2 before considering his positioning.
Predicting
Everyone is predictable, once you are located, your enemy can predict you.
Don't think that counter-intuitive thinking protects you from that!!! (like using the long route to the bomb site etc.)
If you camped somewhere and shot someone and he is smart, he will be increasingly alerted at this point of the map.
Camping on the same spot in a match does not work twice (on the same player) [xcept he is a ******]
And last but not least:
Intuition
This is the most random part.
Sometimes i feel: "Someone is there behind this crate", although i have ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE for it.
I shoot and get a kill.
Some call it luck, but you should also include luck into such kills.
However, this can be "proven".
If that player repedeatly sprayed random crates, he propably guessed.
FYI i do that
The replay
There you can still watch for pre-aiming etc.
That's about it i will add something if i find anything more

I am glad that you read my whole article in 4 minutes, it approves that it's not hard to understand.

WishMunzta wrote: »Why makes you think it's hard to read?
Because some CF players aren't good at english.
... well here on the forums the english is better though.
Well you are right, but since this guide already existed, i just thought i will do this little effort to help new players -

It seems that i am unaware of the english language, please do show me where i said this.
If you mean in section "Replay":
"There you can still watch for pre-aiming etc."
Well, i think we might have a little different view of pre-aiming.
I think what you mean is when you leave your crosshair at the edge of a wall or sthg, so as if someone happens to enter your line of sight, you cann immediately shoot.
This is not what is meant by this "pre-aiming".
I mean the kind of preaiming when following through walls etc.
And, yes it is just an indicator of a hack, not a proof, found myself doing this too.
And by no means i said that EVERYONE who preaims is a hacker,
regards Auki -

True that. Given enough time playing a map one would learn where heads pop out at a corner or so.
Chamming is not always black and white perfect. There are some tells to suggest chamming, but many times it's a blurred difference with a seasoned player.
Ps. Snitch is too seasoned 4 CF -

Here are my on-topic GIFs
Either the hacker's computer is like this:
Or else you're up close and aimbotting like this:
Also, this isn't a hack. It is a quick scope. Anybody can do this. Anybody can stick a piece of tape or mark up their screen with a dry erase marker to center their crosshairs. Though that isn't necessary to quick scope. Just right then left click fast lol.

NOTE: fail shiftwalk from strairs...
the cros on the radar, when youre teammate dies
btw i pre-aim at where the most enemys could be.. (only a noobs turn after the corner)
(Oftopic there is a GM map where i always throw a grenade cuz its 9 out of 10 time a direct hit.) what i'm trying to say there a some poeple looking at the replay..
those woman/man could be unpredictable.. -

Tho, Sometimes I can follow enemies through walls with sound, with a decent headset you know where anyone is.
Also true I do this a lot.
When you watch the replay and you see someone following the names with there crosshair through a wall you know you have a winner!
Or when he rounds a corner prefiring the name only for there to be another wall in the way xD
