How to master the M4A1?
As we all know, the M4A1 got changed (or so we've heard) and I'm just bored, so I want to know how to master the M4A1 (and all the other branches) please. What do I do? All I've been doing was hiding and popping out, shooting 3-5 bullets at the chest and jumping back to safety. Hey, I get my kills
Anyways~ I'm just bored and my AK47 is already doing really well so I want to master a few other guns. TYVM!!
On a related note, how do you use a m60? I would be standing back but I can't see their heads so I end up giving away my location with a body shot.

Use c-type crosshair.
Aim for the head always. When moving always aim for the head level. Tap it. That's about it.
With m60, best person for tips would be blindrob. Again with c-type crosshair crouch and single shot head (stand when confortable with m60). If spraying aim for the foot or lower. -

Key is bursting and aiming for the head.
I suggest you get some partners and do 1v1 headshot only in places like Columbia and Crossroads (mid).
Once headshot becomes a 2nd nature, you can start doing some fancy hack shots.
The M4 is a good choice of a weapon. Stick with it =] -
Its next to impossible to "master" the M4, because it is one of the most adaptable guns out there. I had the M4 since I started (almost a year ago) and my skill with the tactics i use are now begining to peak, but thats only one side of the M4. Heres how I use the M4:
CQC-Spray-jump, crouch, or anything to make me harder to aim at.
Mid-Range-Burst fire(1-8 rounds) while crouching at whatever I can aim at. If they aren't moving crouch and aim for head. If they are getting close, rush and spray.
Long-Range-Crouch and take shorter bursts(1-4) or if they're a bit farther crouch and single/double shot. Increase burst size as target moves closer.
Sniper-Stand still and single shot(try crouching) if its a sniper(not moving and aiming for you) try to hit them as much as possible, no matter where(to screw up their aim) and if you havn't hit them for a sec, move.
Out of ammo-if they are closeto mid and advancing, whip out a pistol(deagle works best cause of fire rate and damage) and spray their ***. If they are farther away, find cover and reload.
But thats just my strategy, to get better, simply use it and try a bunch of tactics, eventually the ones that work will present themselves. If you buy ZP getting a silenced version will help because when you start out you miss alot(but they cant tell you're shooting) I notice the circle Crosshair works best for me, and helps for single/double shotting alot because the dot helps center you and the ring shows where recoil/accuracy might take the bullet. Also use green crosshairs, they show up better than other colors.

QUESTION ONE! what is CQC?
and i'm using a m4a1-custom so it's silenced and scoped :P
thanks a bunch. in scope, the m4a1-c first 4-6 bullets go to the same place (without crouching) so yeah... -

uhh the m4a1 is pretty easy 2 use. as 4 mastering the m60... go in game and press esc and enter twice itll take away recoil -
Same as every gun, learn how it sprays when you run, walk, jump, strafe. Afterwards find the right circumstances to spray or do burst shots. This is a pretty simple explanation, you just need "experience" or "game time" with the gun and you will eventually learn how it works. Though it seems like the XM8 > M4A1 since the recent patch. XM8 still provides full damage through boxes, but works slightly different.
