Clan Profile page's Photo

At 2009 on Beta we could put a photo for us in our clan profile page , realy it was an awesome option. After CF turne to Z8Games we can't do it anymore . I hope they let us to do that :rolleyes:

That'd be cool! I joined the game in late 09 when it was z8 and I never saw that feature always thought there shoulda been a feature for that instead of a dull looking CF symbol. +1

I belive they wont. According to next quote (taken from suggestions sticky thread), gameowners dont want such features in this supercool game.

I belive the reasons are:

• they are afraid of storing additional GB of data on their servers (nowadays 1Gb of server storage costs thousands of dollars)
• they dont wanna buy such feature, since it wont bring the money right on the next day

That is too bad , but hey they can make it avaliable by ZP like changing ur IGN? by that way they will get money and we will get our photos in clan profile page ‎‏

The custom logos is something completely different to the clan profile photos. Custom logos is as in an uploaded image for the clan logo. The player profile images replaced the CF shield on your profile with your forum avatar.

Probably why the system is no longer in place is probably down to the forums and the normal site accounts are basically separate entities with a loose link between the two. Rather difficult for them to actually fix after it was broken and it's not something exactly vital for the workings of the clan page.

Also server space is incredibly cheap these days, not expensive. You can get a dedicated web hosting server with around 100gb of storage for less than $40 per month depending on the host.

SO you're saying that server space is cheap? How much of a surplus is CF making in cash, minus Xtrap, paying the GMs, and keeping everything running smooth?

I dunno; I don't work for Z8, nor do I know their internal business workings. It's not difficult to search for the cost of a dedicated server on the internet.

Server space is anywhere from 300 dollars all the way up to 100,000 dollars.

This and other forms of inppropriate images would get uploaded faster than you can spell the letter "a". That would need a lot of manpower to monitor, regulate and delete.
