Idle Clans

I come here with a very big concern regarding those clans that stay idle for over an year and force the players that are interested in creating a new clan to misspell their clan or use various characters to get to it.I will give myself as an example.Some days ago i was going to creat a clan; the name was in my head for a good amount of time.When i've tried to name my clan as i've inteded to, guess what, the name was already taken by a kid wich didn't play since 2009.i wonder now, what should i do, search the leader of that clan and try to convince him to disolve the clan or what? remember that he didnt play since 2009.i think i have no chance at naming my clan as i want to so... Wait, maybe Crossfire can help me.they can make a new rule that can sound like: "Clans with over 1 Year overall inactivity will be automaticly disolved by the System". wouldn't that be cool???

I brought this up long ago regarding my old clan that doesn't even have a leader (my original acc deleted), however it was dismissed. http://clan.z8games.com/clanstat_cf.aspx?guildid=22691

I totally agree with you, but I doubt anything will be done.

Can't you think of another name? I mean that clan name is not that spectacular.
As for your suggestion i'd say yes, but it wont ever happen. People register on a game just for the names you know. That's like an achievement to some..

The idea is kinda unfair.

maybe the name isn't that spectacular for you but for me it is.the idea of this thread is to get that achievement away from this kind of noob people that do that just for the fun of it...

i understand that. But a timeline on clans isn't fair and realistic at all.

It is actually so that if you find a player or clan with a name you want and can prove that they/he have been inactive for more than 2 years you can write to support and they can change their name to badname and then you can name your account /clan whatever name it was that you wanted..

Not saying that support will do it but it happens from time to time and keep in mind that they are busy at times so reply might take a while.

Nice, but minimum should be 2 years of in-activeness. Also, for them people who did not know, you can get someone's IGN if they have been offline for quite a while.

Through a support ticket. I know it works for IGNs, but I don't recall anyone every trying to do so for a clan name.

Yea, I was gonna make a clan called 'Clan Removed' but there was a clan called that.

Maybe sent support ticket?

Yeah, their answer was negative.i have to deal with the idea from now on.too bad though...
