...actually, there are more and more people abusing massive lag? I mean...it was always there. Someone who is impossible to hit, because he/she is porting around, abusing a 1000+ ping but having a normal ping after the fight? Usually, I see one or two of those in a month...but the past few days, there were like 10 around o_0
(example, you see a SPOP freezing , 2 secs later shes still not dead and you hear a burst of 30 bullets, which are just now killing you) Just check the status, sometimes you can see someone not lagging at all while running around or so, but when surprising or getting surprised by an ennemy, their ping "suddenly" and "coincidentally" bumps up to 600 (I guess a download manager could do that, musn't be a hack)
I think it's kinda...weird if an axe/shovel using ghost really only laggs right when he's trying to kill a GR >_<
So, am I the only one who noticed this s...tupid thing?

(Yes I am sure, that it's not me, and yes, I'm sure that this didn't happened only once, and yes, I'm sure that I'm sure about this mess, and no, I'm not QQing about anything, neither about lagging people, nor about ZP buying people, just asking if I'm imagining this, or if there are other people, having the same problems kthxbai.)

Yes thats true, I think z8 is working on something, cuz this massive lagging appeard like 3 weeks ago and wont stop.

I think EU server will reduce all this high pingers (for example - me) and make CrossFire easier to play for european and other players.

Also, I don't understand why Saidin or Fallen Angel made topic ''uk serv news'' when they don't post there any informations since the server was delayed?

my friend teleports and he calls me a lagger because all he sees is me moonwalking.
i maintain a 40-60 ping while he manages a 50-200 ping. how evil of him T.T

lols sounds like a lag switch, but meh cant really see people using em for CF ...

Ever heard of the infamous modem-tapping. Its a technique that some gamers use to create lag on purpose. And no, modem-tapping does not mean kicking your modem, but rather purposely sending a large package over your network connection.

Modem tapping is actually a method of shutting off traffic through your modem temporarily. This allows you to effectively teleport, and in some games shoot at the opposing team. When you allow traffic back through, your client tells the server all the stuff it did, and everyone dies. Slowing down your network with large transfers is a different method.

tht happens to me....im normal...than everything freezes then next thing i kno im around 6000 ping....itz wierd

Well, "modem-tapping" ruined one of my previous FPS (Delta Force 2). Lets call the other one "heavy-trafficking" for lack of better terms then.

Modem-Tapping does not work. My neighbor tries it all the time in 1v1 against me. All it does is teleport you back to your original place before your tapped. All I had to do was walk over to him and knife him and his game crashes.

Is it the lag spikes? Mine is around 600-3K But I let them kill me if it happens.

Hmm... I don't know if they're using lag on purpose or not but I seem to run into more laggers now than I did before.

Shovel lags not the person. They need to take it out, it's ruining GM. Axe is good enough, it 1 hit kills there's nothing more for ghosts to want. They can bhop easier, they have breathe down. and a 1 hit knife 100% of the time. Take the DAMN shovel out!!!

Nah, I didn't mean the shovel lag, it's just, that some people seem to do fine most of time, not having an extraordinary ping (like 5 or 1800), but starting to lag, when you're trying to kill someone (can't believe that it's just "luck" when your ping always goes from 50 to 500 when you're getting surprised by an ennemy or when you want to kill someone)

Anyway, good to hear, that I'm not having some weird "could-be-something-fishy-but-also-sth-totally-normal" hallucinations :rolleyes:
