The CrossFire Stars Qualifiers are on Wednesday at 7:30pm EST
Attention Mercenaries
Today we are happy to announce that CF NA/UK will be attending Crossfire Stars! A tournament being held by Smilegate on June 1st and 2nd 2013.
Teams from all versions of CrossFire will descend upon Shanghai China for the CrossFire stars tournament on June 1st and 2nd. There is over $175,000 Up for grabs for all the teams.
Each version has been playing out matches and tournaments within their regions over the last month. In CF NA, we have had 4 separate competitions to bring us down to a qualifying Final Four teams. This Final Four will face off on Wednesday April 24th, 2013 starting at 7:30pm EST SHARP. We will be broadcasting this out of the CFL twitch Channel.
How did the teams get here?
Over the course of the last 3-4 months, CrossFire has been involved in some amazing live and league competition. The CFL started their season league and a winner was chosen to compete in the Final Four.
The CrossFire Live LAN Party in Toronto, Canada was also chosen as a venue to select a team for the Final Four.
We also allowed Hammertime to reprise their roll as reigning champions within the game, inviting them back to compete as a part of the Final Four.
Lastly, after months of a growing movement within our competitive community we invited 16 of the games top teams to compete for the remaining spot in the Final Four.
Who are the teams?
1 of the following 4 teams will be representing our version in Shanghai on June 1st and 2nd and have an opportunity to compete for their share of over $175,000 in cash and prizes. It has taken skill and determination by all of these teams to get to where they are and we are proud to bring this 3 game playoff series on Wednesday April 24th at 7:30pm to you all.
Hammertime
A team with veteran status within CF NA, they have competed at WCG in the past as well as many other tournaments. Always a threat, Hammertime is looking to get back into the spotlight and dominate the competition!
Carnage
Canada's reigning champions, Carnage comes in Hot with wins at the CF LAN Toronto, and second place in the CFL Season 1 league. Carnage is looking to bring the pain once more and pave their way to China.
Carbon
The first place finisher in the CFL Season 1 league, Carbon represents top skill in a name you may or may not have seen in the past. Expect these guys to play their best and fight for a chance to compete against the rest of the world!
LifeLine
A common name to some, LifeLine has been here since day 1. They were able to take down the recent Invite Tournament to claim the last place in the Final Four. LifeLine represents the skill and dedication any fan of CrossFire needs to make it to the top.
The teams have been randomly seeded and we have determined that Carbon will be playing Lifeline and Hammertime will be playing Carnage, the winners move on in a single elimination tournament to determine who goes to China.A team with veteran status within CF NA, they have competed at WCG in the past as well as many other tournaments. Rules
We will be using the CFL Rule Set for these matches. Each Round a team will be given an option to Veto one map from a pool of 5 (the 5 standard WCG Maps), The order of the maps to be played will be chosen by [GM]Saidin randomly following the bans. Each team must then win in a best of 3 on the remaining 3 maps. In the case of a 1-1 tie, the final round will be a 5 round map.

All maps will be observed and broadcasted, any cheating or breaking of the rules will result in an immediate disqualification of the team in question.
